The Greene County Website is looking for volunteers to type obituaries from the local newspapers in Greene County.  Especially looking for obituaries of anyone over 90 and born in Greene County. The only information that will be posted is the Name, deceased date, age, where born , parents names and name and date of the newspaper.   The information is readily available online and it its pretty much a copy and paste.  Easy to do and you just email them as they are typed for posting on the website.  Up to you if you want to be listed as a contributor.   email to...

E. Irene Roberts Shipman, 84, formerly of Jefferson, died at 4:45 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2012, in Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg.

She was born March 18, 1928, in Richhill Township (Enon), Greene County, daughter of the late Hiram and Mary Reisabelle Dunn Roberts, and had resided in the Jefferson area most of her life.

Betty (Heeter) Gower


Betty (Heeter) Gower, 84, formerly of Smithfield, Pa., passed away peacefully on June 20, 2012 at Henry Clay Villa with her loving family at her side.

Betty was born on February 27, 1928 in the village of Liberty, daughter of the late George and Blanche Heeter.

Kelce Mosley Jr., 85, of Waynesburg, died Friday, June 22, 2012.

He was born November 21, 1926, in Farmington, W.Va., son of the late Kelce and Anna Tremba Mosley.

Mae Moore, 81, of Morgantown, W.Va., died Sunday, June 17, 2012, in her home.

She was born January 23, 1931, in Brave, daughter of the late Jesse R. Burnfield and Lizzie Stiles Burnfield

Huggins

Barbara Jean Huggins, 84, a resident of Sundale Nursing Home, Morgantown, W.Va., since 2001, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012, in Sundale.

She was born March 29, 1928, one of 13 children of the late Joseph Earl and Gladys Ayers Robinson

Gusic
John Richard Gusic, 91, of Waynesburg, died Wednesday, June 20, 2012, in Waynesburg.

He was born August 9, 1920, in McClellandtown, son of the late Matthew and Katherine Belanek Gusic.
