Retired from American Ship Building Co.

Wilbur W. Anderson, 86, of New Freeport, died Wednesday, October 11,2000, in Beverly Health Care, Waynesburg.

He was born January 28, 1914, in Garrison, a son of Thomas J. andLillie M. Pethtel Anderson.

Mr. Anderson retired with more than 35 years of services for AmericanShip Building Co. in Lorain, Ohio.

He was Methodist.

Surviving are his wife, Hazel evelyn Stout Anderson; three sons, JerryLee Anderson of North Canton, Ohio, Gary Ray Anderson of Berkshire, NY,and Wilbur T. Anderson of Barberton, Ohio; two daughters, VivianLangston of Pittsburgh and Shirley Neely of New Freeport; twohalf-brothers, Charles J. Anderson of Atwater, Ohio, and Fred B.Anderson of Aliquippa; two half-sisters, Eva Farley of New Freeport andNaomi Unkefer of Alliance, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and ninegreat-grandchildren.

Deceased are two brothers, Ray and Perry Anderson; and a son, KennethAnderson.

Friends of Wilbur W. Anderson of New Freeport, who died Wednesday,October 11, 2000, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Fridayin Tennant Funeral Home, Hundred, W.Va., where services will be held at11 a.m. Saturday, October 14, with the Rev. Woody Wilson and the Rev.Carol Adcock officiating.  Interment will follow in Pleasant HillCemetery near Garrison.
