Hughes,Charles L. (Chick) Aged 73 years, of Dilliner, Pa., died Sunday,September 8, 1974, at the West Virginia University Medical Center,Morgantown. He attended the Faith Church of the Nazarene, Greensboroand was a retired coal miner. He is survived by his wife, Hazel ReedHughes; four sons: Charles, Chauncy, Irvin and James, all of Dilliner;six daughters: Mrs. Gladys Sanders, of Davistown; Mrs. Mary AnnBurkett, of Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Mildred Vernon, of Euclid, Ohio; Mrs.Lillian Morgan, of Fallon, Nevada; Mrs. Joann Moss of Alaska; Mrs.Sandra Smiley of Dilliner; also forty-one grandchildren and sevengreat-grandchildren; four brothers: Joseph and Ralph, of Fairchance;Irvin of Dilliner; Woodrow of Point Marion. He was predeceased by threebrothers and two sisters. The family will receive friends in theRichard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to9 p.m. and Wednesday until 12 noon and in the Faith Church of theNazarene, Greensboro, from 1 until 2 p.m. the hour of services, withRev. Walter Speece [?] officiating. Interment in Wolf's cemetery,Dilliner.

He was born Sept 10, 1902in Fairchance, Pa. He moved to Greene County after the 1920's.(Dilliner, Pa).
