Current
Juniata Queries and Postings
July
2001 Changes: The GenConnect Boards have been
merged with FamilyHistory.com's boards and are now posted
at Ancestry.com.
About
the changeover.
|
|
The
categories of birth, death, census,
cemetery, marriage, pension and military
have only existed since July 2001.
The remaining categories have info and
queries going back as far as 1998.
When
posting a query, adding an active link
is no longer an option, however,
you may now include gedcom files and
photos under the option of Add
Attachments.
To
make certain your query or info may be
indexed under the general search and
also under a specific category, choose a
category option before posting.

This is the place to POST A QUERY. If you
aren't familiar with this term, it simply means
to post some info or ask a direct question hoping
someone will respond to it with any helpful
information. New researchers may want to
read these helpful
tips on writing a successful query or refer
to this list
of abbreviations.
Why post info or a query? Sharing your
resources here can be of enormous help to people
researching your common ancestor because most
people have one or another ancestor on the other
side of the country for which coming to PA for a
week to research is not an option.
By sharing you will be rewarded down the line-I
guarantee it-when someone e-mails to thank
you for adding that piece of info that broke the
wall they just couldn't get past. We've
all got one.
Alternately, you could look or post to the PAGenWeb
Archives. Both are accessible by
searching on RootsWeb.
