Comments: Am looking for George (Mathay)Matthew & wife Maria/Polly (no surname listed. Only record found was the baptism of a son John Henry Matthew bp 1804 in Christ Lutheran church, Stouchsburg, Pa.
1850 census of Millcreek twp,Lebanon co.,Pa.located son John Henry with four of his children: Solomon 1837, John E. 1839, Sarah 1842, Jacob 1845 (a daughter Elizabeth was located in 1870 census with her mother Margaret and husband Josiah Rodermel and children in Myerstown. This showed Elizabeth was born 1831.
Tombstone records were located in Frieden's cemetery records listed John Henry s/o George & Maria b 11/19/1804, d 12/23/1888 in Penn Twp, Berks Co., Pa. His wife C.Margaret (Hippert) Matthew d 4/19/1884- d/o Jacob Hippert (& C.Margaret Kunkelman-mother's name not lsted on tombstone)
Have been trying to locate anything other then what is listed here, and his parents, or children without success.
John Henry Matthew & w.C.Margaret were living in the midst of other Matthews who arrived in 1796 from Montgomery county,Pa. Could not find any connection between John Henry and other Matthew families.

Comment: My son was researching this name. when he passed away10 years ago, all the records he had made were lost, so I am starting over. The Arrowsmith's, two brother, at one time owned an amusement park in Reading. One was an electrican, the other ? There were daughter / s, and son / s. Do not know how many etc nor what they did or who they married. As mentioned, when my son passed away all was lost. At the age of 86, I trying to find out about them as they were my grandmother's relations and I want to pass this on to the rest of my family.

Comments: George Goodman (?-1795) lived in Berks County, Bethel Township around 1779. He and his son John served in the Revolutionary War in the Penn. Sixth Battalion under Capt. Bretz's company. I have located John's grave in Chillicothe OH, but would like to find George's grave in Berks County. Since he owned several hundred acres in Bethel Township, I believe he was buried somewhere near by. Any information on the Cemeteries or grave site location would be appreciated.

Comments: Ella J. Rodgers, a widow, lived on Rose St in Reading in 1910. She owned a butcher shop. Am particularly interested in her marriage information. Husband was possibly Joseph, who died prior to 1900. Son was Webster Rodgers. No info on her after 1910 census. Myrtie Collins married Curwin Gauff in 1884 in Reading. I think, though am far from sure, that she was born Martha Collins of Mauch Chunk, daughter of Joseph and Margaret. Ethel Collins Gauff married Webster Rodgers in 1909. Her address was listed as Wyomissing. They divorced sometime between 1912 and 1920. Can find no information on her after 1910. ANY information would be very greatly appreciated!
