Abraham Swavely - 31 May 1791 in Earl Twp. - 1884
Michael Swavely (Schwebel) - abt. 1772 in Earl Twp. to abt. 1836
Hans Adam Schwebel - abt. 1736 in Hessen, Germany, md. Anna Margaretha Moser and died 28 Mar 1816 in Earl Twp.

Comments: I am interested in finding anything of the Johann Christoph Schaber family. I found a Christoper Schaber buried in the Zion (Red) Church cemetery but would like to know know if there is anything more on Johann's family. I believe, but can't prove, that my family comes from this line. My family name is Shawver.

Registered surname(s): Beery, Beri, Bieri, Biery, Biri on April 9, 2011
Comments: I have some reason to believe that one of my ancestors named Philip Bery (various spellings) may be the Philip Beery etc. who appears in some records in Berks County (Longswamp Church in the 1770s and tax records for 1767 in Longswamp Twp.) "My" Philip appears to have left Pennsylvania in the late 1700s, migrating to the Shenandoah Valley and settling near Fincastle, Botetourt County, Viriginia, where he first appears in records in 1819. He died there in 1831. He is believed to have married Elizabeth Dilling/Delling/Dellin ca. 1768. They may have lived in Cumberland County, Penn., sometime before migrating to Virginia. Their children included Mary Elizabeth Peery Miller (b. 1769, my GGGGM), Abraham (b. ca. 1790), Daniel (b. ca. 1779), and probably others. Philip signed his name in old German cursive script as "Bery". English legal clerks wrote it as "Peery" which was adopted by the next generation and created confusion with a prominent Scots- Irish family of that name in the Shenandoah Valley.
