Registered surname(s): Boehnlein on April 3, 2009
Comments: I am looking for information about my great grandfather Sebastian Boehnlein who lived in Reading between (about) 1850 - 1900. He was born in Bayern, Germany or Austria about 1830. He was a well known Reading Presser & Dyer and had a business on Seventh St. I believe it burned down about 1900. He was also a musician and enlisted in the Civil War as a musician (one time from PA, another from NY). He also played with and served as a director or conductor at one time for the Ringgold Band. He was married to Victoria Pfalsgraff (sp?) and had 3 sons; Victor, Predon and Raymond. His son, Victor G. Boehnlein was a fairly well known musician and song writer for the silent movies between 1890 - 1925.
Alternate spellings that I've seen are: Bohnlein, Boenlein, Bochlein, Behnline and Behnlein.
Registered surname(s): Birdlebough on February 15, 2019
Comments: Joseph Birdlebough born May 20, 1784 either in Germany or on a ship in the Atlantic Ocean. He may have lived in Berks County and moved to New York. Bartelbaugh may be an alternate spelling.
Registered surname(s): Wicklein on September 21, 2005
Comments: I have been researching the Wicklein surname since about 1988. We (my co-author, Margureitte Ratliff) published a 2-volume 1580-page book in 2002, entitled "Descendants of Jacob Georg Wickline and Maria Catharine Spahr"). Our ancestor, Johann Georg Wicklein married Anna Christina Reittenauer some time in the late 1730's or very early 1740's in Berks County. These were the parents of our Jacob Georg Wickline.
