Resources include the massive Spangler Collection which has a 250,000 name entries index to persons appearing in various county records assembled before 1945, J. Marvin Lee Collection, obituary indexes, published family histories, published county histories and records, tax records beginning in 1800, estate files, marriage license dockets, newspaper microfilm, family folders, publications of other PA counties, and much more. Family history books are found under the Dewey Decimal call number 929.2 and do not circulate, but may be used on premises.

The CCGS has no physical location, but its publications on cemetery transcriptions and other county records, membership surname file, and back issues of CCGS newsletters can be found at both the Pennsylvania Room of the Centre County Library and Historical Museum in Bellefonte and the Family History Center, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in State College.

Housed in the Centre Furnace Mansion near State College, the CCHS has a limited genealogical research facility and generally directs genealogists to the PA Room of the Centre County Library in Bellefonte. Visit Collections to view information about their holdings.

Register of Wills & Clerk of Orphans Court - birth and death records (1894-1905), will books, recent estate records, marriage records, and more.
Tax Assessment Office - current land ownership within the county.
Veterans office - some limited information about veterans burials.
Some of the records of the above offices can be accessed online for a fee through the Web Information Access (WEBIA).
