The table below lists all Elk County census by township and by year. Below the chart you will see new pilot links to the census records of 1850-1900 by FamilySearch. This was a great initiative by this organization and it gives you another means to get more comprehensive census information free on the Interent. But this does leave the census records from 1910 to 1930 so I need your help to fill in these missing census transcripts. If you have any census or you would like to volunteer to transcribe a census, please click on and pick those areas that you are interested in.

Keep in mind that Elk County was not established until 1843, so census records for prior dates may be found in the records of Jefferson, Clearfield, or McKean counties. See/click on the 1810-1840 censuses for Clearfield County below. I've included Gibson Township census records through 1930 even though it was then in Cameron county. You may also want to check Huston Township, Clearfield County census records also.
