BONSALL-BIEKLE
Homer M. Bonsall of Grampian and Bessie L. Biekle of Rockton were quietly married on Aug. 15 at the home of Rev. S.O. Sigworth, Grampian, Pa. Only a few friends being present to witness
the occasion. They then went to the home of the groom where the entire family circle enjoyed a sumptuous wedding supper. Serenaders visited in the evening and furnished some
good music. The couple then left for a week's feasting on Spiritual things at Embleton Camp Meeting. They will make their home in Grampian at the groom's home.

Thursday November 13 at 10 p.m. Her husband, James and the following children survive: Furman, Duwayne and Esther, all of Apollo. One brother, Homer Bonsall of Philipsburg,
also survives. Born in Penn Township, Clearfield County, she was the daughter of Amos and Mary Bonsall. Funeral services will be held at the King Funeral Home in Apollo Sunday,
November 16 at 3 p.m. The body will then be brought to the Friends Meeting House in Grampian Monday, where friends and relatives may call at anytime after 12 noon and until time of services
at 2 p.m. Monday, November 17. Interment will be made in the Friends Cemetery.

"ROY" JUMPED OUT TO CATCH THE HORSE BY THE HEAD. WHILE HE WAS BUSY, ELIZABETH JUMPED FROM THE BUGGY, FRACTURING HER SKULL. A PHYSICIAN WAS SUMMONED AND BEFORE REACHING THE HOSPITAL SHE WAS DEAD.

Charles Ogden, Kerman Rancher, Dies Suddenly
A coroner's autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause of death of Charles Roy Ogden, 73, a Kerman area rancher for 34 years. He died suddenly last night in his home at Route 2, Box 280, Kerman.
Chief Deptuty Coroner Ben Paschall said it is believed Ogden suffered a heart attack. Friends of Ogden said he never had been seriously ill.
He was a native of Pennsylvania, and is survived by his widow Ada; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Nelson of Madera and Mrs. John St. John of Santa Rosa; a sister, Della Ogden of Pennsylvania;
two brothers, Archer Ogden of Pennsylvania and Matthew Brice Ogden of Florida, and five grandchildren.
Funeral service are being arranged by the Lisle Funeral Home.

Quinton Justus Seyler, a well known and highly respected resident of Luthersburg was crushed to death Tuesday morning about 9 o'clock by a wall of slate while he was at work in the clay
mine of the North American Refractory mine near Chestnut Grove. Mr. Seyler suffered a fractured skull, a crushed chest and a fracture of the right leg. Apparently death was almost
instantaneous, the unfortunate man being dead when dug out by fellow workers. The death of Mr. Seyler was learned with deep regret on the part of the entire Luthersburg community,
in which the deceased was born, and in which he always taken an active part in civic welfare and church work. Mr. Seyler has been an employee the refractory company for the past thirteen years.
Mr. Seyler was born in Brady township on October 8, 1876, and spent his entire life there. The deceased is survived by his wife and the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Samuel Wilson, DuBois;
Reginald, Luthersburg; Charles, DuBois; Willard, Luthersburg; LaVerne, Jane, Rosalie, at home. The following brothers and sisters also survive: George L., Luthersburg; Mrs. Miles Wagner, Luthersburg;
Mrs. Howard Wriglesworth, Grampian; Mrs. George Swope, Luthersburg; Mrs. Emerson Weber, Curwensville. Ten grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held from the bereaved
home on Thursday afternoon, 2:30 o"clock, with Rev. James Hanna, of Fertigs, Pa., officiating. Interment will be made in the Luthersburg cemetery.

The Brookfield American 6 Nov 1941 Miles W. Wagner
Miles W. Wagner, a prominent resident of Luthersburg, and a native of Brookville, was almost instantly killed early Monday by a fall of roof-rock in the clay mine in Draucker's Woods known
as Draucker's No. 2, of the North American Refractories Co.
Mr. Wagner, who was the assistant foreman of the mine crew was attending to his duties at 7:20 a.m. when he was struck by a falling rock and knocked against a mine car in such a manner
that his skull was fractured against the roll-bar. Death was almost instantaneous.
Mr. Wagner was 60 years of age last June 27. He was born in Brookville in 1881 and was the son of George and Lucy Vasbinder Wagner. He lived in the Luthersburg section for the past nineteen
years, was a member of the Methodist church.
The victim of the accident is survived by his wife, who was Arimenta Seyler, four sons and a daughter as follows: Leonard of Los Angeles; Frank of Grampian; James of Williamsport; Cecil of
DuBois; and Lelia Miles of Luthersburg. His aged mother, Mrs. Lucy Wagner, of Luthersburg, also survives. Three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Marshall and Misses Maude and Blanche Wagner, preceed him in death.
The body was in the Moore chapel, DuBois, where friends called between 2 and 4 and between 7 and 9 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday the casket was removed to the home for the
funeral service and burial in the Luthersburg cemetery.

Grampian--- Mrs. Agnes Ida Wriglesworth 75, died Tuesday morning. She was the daughter of Henry and Ella (Bonsall) Seyler, born in Brady Township January 16, 1883.
Mrs. Wriglesworth was a member of the First Methodist Church at Grampian and also a member of the W.S.C.S. of the church.
She is survived by these children: Lorimer H. Wriglesworth, Grampian; Mrs. Harold (Arlene) Chelgren, DuBois; Mrs. Russell (Vadna) Rowles, Grampian; Mrs. David (Lucille) Long, Kittanning;
Mrs. Ralph (Phyllis) Hicks, Baltimore, Md.
Twenty grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Arimenta Wagner, Luthersburg and Rosie Weber, Curwensville, also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Howard, in 1924, her parents, one daughter, two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Friday from the First Methodist Church, Grampian, at 2 p.m., the Rev. J. Showalter officiating. Burial will follow in Friends Cemetery, Grampian.
Friends may call at Lininger Funeral Home tonight from 7 to 10 o'clock, Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 10 p.m. and Friday until noon when the body will be taken to the
church to lie in state until time of services.

Suffering from injuries received on Monday evening when the automobile in which he was riding crashed into the eastern end of the bridge across Tipton run, near the Altoona speedway, Howard Wriglesworth,
aged 43, of Grampian, died at the Altoona hospital at 6:30 o'clock this morning. Death was due to a fracture of several vertebra of the spine and internal injuries. His condition
was serious since being admitted on Monday night. His wife has been at his bedside for two days. Wriglesworth, an automobile dealer of Grampian, was injured while riding a Chrysler
machine that contained Robert L. Derrick of Clearfield and Burton Peters of Woodland, both being automobile agents in Clearfield county. The trio were enroute to this city to attend a dinner
for dealers held Monday at the Penn-Alto. As the car made the turn to enter the Tipton bridge the rear wheels skidded the car, striking against the side of the bridge, turning over, all
three occupants being injured. Peters was believed to be the most seriously injured and taken immediately to the Altoona hospital. Wriglesworth went to a local hotel and was admitted
to the hospital later from the hotel. Derrick also went to a local hotel where he was examined by a physician. He is now at the Altoona hospital suffering from a fractured pelvic bone.
Mr. Wriglesworth underwent three X-ray examinations at the Altoona hospital, the first picture showing a spine injury with severe bruises, a slight paralysis developing. Later pictures showed

Wilfred Clark of 816 Fifth avenue.
Mr. Wriglesworth was a native of Grampian, being born on Dec. 16, 1881, the son of Joseph and Myrtle Wriglesworth. He was widley known as an automobile dealer. He is survived by his wife,
who was Miss Agnes Seyler of Luthersburg, by his parents, and six children, Agatha, Lorimer, Arlene, Vadna, Lucille and Phyllis, all at home. Also by two brothers and two sisters, Ernest
of Oregon, Mrs. Byron Taylor of Lumber City, Clyo of Grampian and Mrs. Alfred Segar of Grampian. He was a member of the P.O.S. of A. and the Methodist church.
The body was removed to the funeral home of Roher & Mank in Juniata and will be sent to Grampian Friday morning for burial.

CURWENSVILLE--Mrs. Rosie M. Weber, 76, of 502 Anderson St., Curwensville, died Saturday at 7:10 p.m. at a Pittsburgh hospital.
Born Dec. 23, 1888 in Brady Township, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Sarah Ella (Bonsall) Seyler.
She was a member of the Curwensville Methodist Church, the Emerson Weber Sunday School Class of the church, the Rhoda Rebecca Lodge, the degree
staff of the Lodge and the Past Noble Grands of Clearfield County.
Surviving are the following children: Cleo Weber, Grampian R.D.; Mrs. Jay (Marie) Bowden, Curwensville; and Mrs. Paul (Ella Mae) Brust, Pittsburgh.
Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emerson Weber, in December 1931, her parents, one son, one brother, three sisters and a half-brother.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Russell H. Lininger Funeral Home Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Leland W. Keemer officiating. Burial
will be in Rockton Cemetery.
Friends may call in the funeral home after 7 p.m. today and until time of services Wednesday.

Glen Weber, Wallace avenue, received word this morning of the death of his brother, Emerson, aged 42, of Curwensville. Mr. Weber was taken suddenly ill
Tuesday of this week, while in the mountains of near Clearfield: he was removed to his home, but gradually became worse and Thursday was taken to the
Clearfield hospital where he died at 7:30 this morning. Ralph Weber of Sharon, formerly of this city, is also a brother.
Mr. Weber is survived by his wife, Rosie Weber and three children. Announcement of the funeral arrangements has not been received.

Alma Man, Injured During Storm, Dies

ALMA, Jan 1--James A. Zimmerman, 74, of 1520 Eastward st., died at R.B. Smith Memorial hospital Monday morning from injuries suffered in a fall
while he was shoveling snow at his home 10 days previously. He had been hospitalized since that time for fractures of the right leg and right arm.
Mr. Zimmerman was born in Lafayette township, Sept. 26, 1877, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Zimmerman. He had been a resident of Alma the past 34 years
and formerly employed by Alma Realty company. He was a member of the Alma Church of God.
Surviving are the widow, Alta, and two sons, Earl and Alton of Alma. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p. m. at the Alma Church of God.
Rev. H.J. Pilsipher and Rev. Ford Sanders will officiate and burial will be in the Lafayette cemetery. Moody funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

Harry B. Moore, 57, died at the home, 318 S. Detroit st., early Tuesday morning following a long illness. Born in Lafayette township, Gratiot county, Dec. 2, 1892,
he was a resident of Lansing for the past 21 years. He is survived by the widow, Olive; three sons, Melvin of Vermontville, Alvah of Lansing and Harry of Holt; a daughter,
Mrs. Helen Clark of Mason; 10 grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Alta Zimmerman of Alma; and a brother, Allen Moore of Hudson. Funeral services will be held from
the Gorsline-Runciman funeral home Thursday at 1 p. m. Rev. J.H. Norris will officiate and interment will be in the Ithaca cemetery.

home of the bride's parents in Sandy township by Rev. A.R. Rich at 8:00 last evening, August 11. Joe E. Spencer was best man and Miss Emma Covert was bridesmaid. A nuptial supper

Mrs. H. H. Spencer Died Yesterday
Had Been an Invalid for the Past Three Years.
Mrs. H. H. Spencer, of Dixon avenue died yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock. She had been an invalid for about three years and seriously sick for the last five weeks.
She was aged about thirty years and is survived by her husband and three children. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist church and was beloved
by her neighbors and friends for her kindness of heart and devotion to her family.
The funeral will be held at the home at 2:30 and the Mt. Zion church at 3 Sunday. Rev. Mr. Barr will return from Erie conference to conduct the services.
Interment will be made in Rumbarger cemetery.

Church Would Not Contain Those Who Attended
There was a very large attendance at the funeral of Mrs. H. H. Spencer yesterday afternoon, so large, in fact,
that many were unable to gain admission to the Mount Zion church, where the services were held, and awaited in the lawn.
Rev. Mr. Barr officiated. There was a large bestowal of beautiful floral tokens. Interment was made in the Rumbarger cemetery.
The funeral was attended by the Odd Fellows and United Commercial Travelers, of which societies Mr. Spencer is a member.

Mrs. Lillian D. Spencer, 88, of 87 N. Tenth St., died today in Arlington Nursing Home.
Mrs. Spencer suffered a stroke May 22, and, after treatment in the hospital, was admitted to the nursing home July 7.
She was born in Dubois, Pa., Dec 21, 1878, to James and Priscilla Davie.
She came to Newark in 1932, from Dubois, and was a member of First Methodist Church, Newark Order of Eastern Star, Order of White Star and Amaranth Lodge.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph Spencer; two sons: James of Newark, and Leo of Greenland, New Hampshire;
a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Reel of Harbor Hills; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Sigworth Couple Celebrates Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary
Rev. and Mrs. S.O. Sigworth of Calvary Baptist Church of Clymer will celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary at the Parsonage and New
Fellowship Hall of the Calvary Baptist Church on Tuesday, August 24 from 2-5 p.m.
The couple will be honored by their families, relatives and many church friends from various parts of the East.
Pastor and Mrs. Sigworth have served churches in Scottdale, Grampian and Clymer and an extensive evangelistic ministry in New York, Pennsylvania,
Maine, Maryland, West Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Michigan and Ohio.
Both Mr. Sigworth and Mrs. Sigworth are graduates of the Moody Bible Institute of Chicago, Illinois also the DuBois College of Business in
DuBois, and began their married life on the 24th day of August, 1917 in the home of the bride in DuBois.
Pastor and Mrs. Sigworth have three children: Mrs. Naomi Karlson and Mr. Donald Sigworth of Long Beach, Mississippi, and Mrs. Sara Nader of
Flushing, New York.
There are nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Rev. Samuel Sigworth
PASS CHRISTIAN-- The Rev. Samuel Otis Sigworth, 90, Route 4, Vineyard Road, Pass Christian, died Friday, March 14, 1986, in Gulfport.
Rev. Sigworth was born in New Bethlehem, Pa. He graduated from business college in DuBois, Pa., in 1915, and from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago in
1918. After graduating, he accepted his first pastorate in Scottsdale, Pa. In 1926, Rev. Sigworth and his wife, the late Electa Spencer Sigworth,
began the Gospel Tabernacle in Grampian, Pa., and simultaneously pastored at Buck Run Mission, now know as Calvery Baptist Church with a congregation
of 3,000 members.
He served as an evangelist for Bible conferences after resigning from Gospel Tabernacle and was instrumental in establishing a church at Chestnut Grove,
Pa. After 38 years of pastoring in Pennsylvania, Rev. Sigworth and his wife moved to Long Beach and ministered at Antioch Baptist Church, Pineville
Presbyterian Church and established Bible Fellowship Church. At the time of his death, he had served as a pastor for 68 years.
Survivors include a son, Donald Sigworth of Pass Christian; one daughter, Mrs. Sara Nader of Charlotte, N.C., a half sister, Mrs. Ethel Miller of New
Bethlehem, Pa.; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 2:30 until 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 until 9:30 p.m. at Riemann Funeral Home in Long Beach. Services will be Sunday at the
funeral home chapel, followed by burial in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

CURWENSVILLE - William Herman Wriglesworth, 88, of Scofield Extension Curwensville, R.D., died yesterday at 9:45 a.m. in the Clearfield Hospital.
A son of John R. and Lydia (Spencer) Wriglesworth, he was born July 6, 1882 in Penn Township.
He was member of the Hepburnia United Methodist Church and Penn Grange.
The following children survive: Blair, Harold, Ted and Mrs. Kenneth (LaRue) Gardner, all of Grampian, R.D.; and Mrs. Carl (Thelma) Caldwell, Curwensville, R.D.
Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and a brother, Harvey Wriglesworth of Curwensville, R.D.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, the former Bessie Hess who died in 1949, one daughter, twin grandaughters, two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Russell Lininger Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Drake officiating. Interment will be in Friends
Cemetery Grampian.
Friend may call in the funeral home from tonight until the time of service Saturday.

AFTER 40 YEARS of service, this old-style hand-cranked telephone switchboard of Grampian Hills Telephone Co. was made a museum peice when the Bell Telephone Co. extended
its service to the Grampian-Hepburnia area last August. The Grampian Hills Company was dissolved. Mrs. Myrtle Curry, operator for the firm for about a year, is shown at the
old switchboard which was powered by batteries. Prior to Mrs. Curry's appointment as operator, the switchboard was in the Carl Wrigglesworth home. (picture distorted and not

MRS. MYRTLE V. CURRY
GRAMPIAN - Mrs. Myrtle V. Curry, 81, of Grampian R.D., Penn Township died yesterday at 1:55 p.m. in the Clearfield Hospital.
A daughter of John and Lydia (Spencer) Wriglesworth, she was born in Penn Township Aug. 25, 1884.
She was member of the Hepburnia Methodist Church, the WSCS of the church, Penn Grange No. 534 and the Golden Sheaf Club.
Surviving are these children: Charles, Grampian R.D.; Mrs. Scott (Pearl) McFadden, Raymond, and Lex, all of Curwensville; Ralph, Florida, N.Y.; Mrs. Thornton (Electa)
Cleaver, Grampian; Mrs. Clyde (Helen) Addleman of Curwensville, R.D.; and Miss Ruth, at home.
Also surviving are 22 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, W.H. Wriglesworth of Curwensville and Clair and Harvey Wriglesworth, both of Grampian, R.D.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John H., in 1937, her parents, one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Russell Lininger Funeral Home in Curwensville with the Rev. Douglas Hine Butler officiating. Interment will be in
Friends Cemetery.
Friends may call in the funeral home after 7 p.m. today and until the hour of the service Thursday.

A son of John and Lydia (Spencer) Wriglesworth, he was born at Grampian R.D. May 1, 1890. Mr. Wriglesworth was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Adda (Mundorff) Wriglesworth; two sons: Edwin Wriglesworth, Curwensville; Rev. John Wriglesworth, Albion, Maine; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild;
and these brothers and sister: William Wriglesworth, Curwensville; Mrs. Myrtle Curry, Clair and Harvey Wriglesworth, all of Grampian R.D.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Curwensville Residents Are Guests of Honor For 45th Anniversary
CURWENSVILLE - Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wriglesworth of 509 Grampian road Curwensville, recently were honored at a dinner in the Dimeling Hotel, Clearfield, in
observance of their 45th wedding anniversary.
They were married at Hollidaysburg April 7, 1915, in the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Mundorff. The Rev. Charles T. Dunning, pastor of the
Hollidaysburg Methodist Church, officiated.
Mr. and Mrs Wriglesworth resided at Hollidaysburg for several years after their marriage, and from there moved to a small farm at Grampian. They moved to Curwensville
12 years ago.
The couple are the parents of two sons: Rev. John Wriglesworth of Ablion, Me., pastor of the Ablion Christian Church for the past six years and Edwin Wriglesworth of Curwensville.
There are also seven grandchildren, a grandson-in-law and one great-grandchild.

Heburnia- Harvey L. Wriglesworth, 85, of Hepburnia, died at his home at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
He was born June 18, 1892 at Hepburnia, a son of John and Lydia (Spencer) Wriglesworth. He was a member of the Hepburnia United Methodist Church and Penn Grange No. 534.
On Dec. 22, 1916, Mr. Wriglesworth married the former Bernice Rafferty. She survives him, along with the following children.

CURWENSVILLE- Berneice R. Wriglesworth, 105, a resident of Marion Manor II Personal Care Home and formerly of Hepburnia, Curwensville RD, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, at the home.
Born Jan. 25, 1899, in Grampian, she was a daughter of Harry and Annie (McKeown) Rafferty.
She was a member of the Penn Grange for more than 60 years. She was past secretary/treasurer of the Larkin Club and participated in the Farm Home Extension Programs.
On Dec. 22, 1916, in Cumberland, Md., she wed Harvey L. Wriglesworth, who died Feb. 14, 1978.
Surviving are two daughters, Lois A. Cramer of Pittsburgh and Irene Berry of Curwensville RD; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren;
17 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Flick of Lancaster.

Ruth Witherite, Kate Blardone, Marie Houser, Edith Reed and an infant sister, Lois.
Services will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc., Curwensville, Wednesday at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Emmett Anderson Jr. officiating.
Interment will be at Friends Cemetery, Grampian.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Tuesday from 1-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until thte time of services.

Mrs. Alice C. Taylor
GRAMPIAN - Mrs. Alice Carrie Taylor, 68, wife of Byron Taylor, died at her home here yesterday at 10:30 p.m.
She was born June 22, 1885, Hepburnia, a daughter of Joseph and Mrytle Hoover Wriglesworth and was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church and Penn Grange in Grampian.
Surviving her are her husband, four children: Pearl and Ralph, Ellwood City; James, Osceola Mills; and Mrs. Melvin (Grace) Witherow, Grampian, as well as 12 grandchildren,
a sister and a brother, Mrs. Etta Segar and Clyo Wriglesworth, both of Grampian, R.D.
A daughter, Mrs. Marie Michaels, two brothers, Howard and Ernest Wriglesworth, and two grandchildren preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. from St. Paul's Methodist Church in Grampian with her pastor, Rev. Van H. Beeman, officiating. Interment will be
in Friends Cemetery in Grampian.
Friends may call at her home in Grampian from Thursday noon until time of services Saturday.

Father of Local Men Dies Suddenly
Byron E. Taylor, aged 72, of Grampian, Pa., died suddenly last night in the hospital in Clearfield. He was prededed in death by his wife, Alice in August.
Survivors include his sons, Ralph and Paul, both of Ellwood City, and James, of Osceola Mills; a daughter Mrs. Grace Witherow, of Grampian and 12 grandchildren.
