  • Centre Daily Times Obituaries Index
  • Historical Digital Collegian Archive includes the Daily Collegian and its predecessors from 1887 to 2010.
  • Pennsylvania Civil War Newspapers includes four Centre County newspapers:
    		Central Press (issues from 1858-1868)
    		Democratic Watchman (issues from 1855-1871)
    		Bellefonte National (issues from 1868)
    		Bellefonte Republican (issues from 1869)
  • The Microforms and Government Information of the Penn State University Libraries also houses the same newspapers as the PA Room in addition to Spring Mills' Centre County Times from the late 1880s, the Bellefonte National from 1868, the Daily Collegian and predecessors, and the Pennsylvania Mirror. Check their website for the years and formats currently available.


The Pennsylvania Room of the Centre County Library & Historical Museum:

  • The PA Room has obituary indexes from many Centre County newspapers from 1821 to the present, notebooks filled with clipped obituaries, the Spangler Collection, abstracts and publications.
  • There are also hardcopy or microfilm versions of many Centre County newspapers of the newspapers listed below. Check their website for the years and formats currently available.
