FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH BASEBALL LEAGUE 1920s
McDonald PA

LARGE, FULL picture close-up of McDonald PA First Presbyterian Church Baseball Player's Faces 1920s

From the Record-Outlook newspaper, Sept 27, 1956, page unknown:

During the mid-twenties, baseball fans in McDonald enjoyed an abundance of their favorite sport. At that time, nearly every church in the town had a team in the church league and games were hotly contested. The team shown above represented the First Presbyterian church and the trophy on the ground gives evidence that it won the championship for that year, which is unknown.

Left to right are the late H. P. WILLIAMS, the late William LIDSTER, William LEWIS, Albert W. BURNS, John R. STEVENSON, Thomas J. WILLIAMS, H. Verner WALTERS, William "Knocky" MCMILLIAN, the late Lyle PYLE, Walter G. PETTIT, Thomas FEREDAY, and the late Graham S. CAMPBELL. Seated are Frank KLINK and the late Paul WAUTHIER.
