LYNN - on the 24th inst., at
Titusville, Pennsylvania, ROBERT LYNN, in the 35th year of his age.
I know
that we must part, but oh I not so soon,
I saw the dread destroyer win his way;
That hollow cough first rang the fatal knell,
As on my ear its prophet fell.
Little we thought when we parted,
That we n'er would meet again;
Thou hast left us here in sorrow,
And all our tears are in vain.
