Mary Ann SELLERS was born in Annville, Lebanon County, PA, 7 Mar 1816. She died 6 Mar 1882 in Clearfield County. Her father was Joseph SELLERS, bn 23 Feb1784 died abt 1852. Her mother, Mary Ann CLEAVER was born in Friendly, Tyler County, WV. I think they had eleven children.
Joseph WATSON and Mary Ann SELLERS were married in 1835, possibly in the Stormstown area of Centre County (SW corner). I know her family was in this community prior to 1935. Joseph and Mary Ann's first child was born in Milesburg, Centrre Co (NE corner) but I cannot find record of their marriage in Centre County. Looks like another eleven children.
I can track the SELLERS line back to the immigrants who came to Chester County, PA with the Quaker immigration in late 1600's early 1700's, but don't have much about their time in Lebanon County. Ancestral information on Joseph Watson is my dead end.
Any help appreciated. Thanks,

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me. Recently I found a passage in the HISTORY OF BERKS AND LEBANON COUNTIES. It was a story about a boy John SCHOEP that was captured by the Indians and was able to escape. My question is - Is thisJohn any relations to SCHUPP/SHUPP/SHOOP/SHOUP/SHOPE of Berks, Lancaster,Dauphin Area? Here is the passage: " At the same time, the Indians carried off a younglad, named John Schoep, about nine years old, who they took by night, seven miles beyondthe blue mountain; where, according to the statement of the lad, the Indians kindled a fire, tied him to a tree and took off his shoes and put moccasins on his feet-- that they prepared themselves some mush, but gave him none. After supper they marched on further. The same Indians took him and another lad between them, and went beyond the second mountain; having gone six times through streams of water, and always carried him across. The second evening they again struck up fire; took off his moccasins, and gave him a blanket to cover himself; but at midnight when all the Indians were fast asleep, he made hisescape, and by daybreak had travelled about six miles. He passed on that day, sometimeswading neck-deep, in the direction of the blue mountain- that night he stayed in the woods. The next day, exhausted and hungry, he arrived, by noon, at Uly Meyer's plantation, whereCharles Folk's company lay, where they wished him to remain till he had regained strength, when they would have conducted him to his father. He was accordingly sent home"+ + C.Sauer's German Paper, March, 1756. Does this ring any bells with anyone. If so please letme know the rest of the story, Who was the other lad and Who were John's parents if possible. Thank you for any help. Carol Banducci .

I am interested in the MAURER families of what is now Lebanon County, and the time period I'm most interested in is 1740-1800. PETER MAURER (MOUER, MOWRER, MOURER, etc.) lived in Bethel Twp., I believe, and CHRISTIAN MAURER also lived in what is now Lebanon Co. at some period. Some of these MAURERS were definitely Moravians. I have more data on these families, from whom I may or may not descend (current theory is that I do not), but am anxious to find out more about these MAURERS. Where did they come from? Where did they go, esp. after 1800? These MAURERS had ties to the WENDEL family, I think (a CHRISTIAN MAURER married an OTTELIA WENDEL(E)(IN) about 1792, and one or both of them were from CUMRU TWP, Berks Co.), and I found a record of a CHRISTIAN MAURER on a military service list about 1794 in the Lebanon County area (roughly).

My gr.gr.gr.grandparents were married in Lebanon Co. and were from Londonderry Twp. at the time of the marriage. Their names were: Jacob Fuchs and Christena Jane Herrington. He was supposedly born in Berks Co. near Reading in Sept. of 1792. She was born in Chester Co. in 1796. Jacob"s father ,according to an account that I have seen , was also named Jacob and he is supposedly the immagrant ancestor. It is said that he came from Germany. Christina Jane was confirmed in the Annville Lutheran Church in Oct. of 1816 and their first child was baptised there in 1817 or 1818. Pastors baptising their children were Ervin, Kroh and Vanhof. This couple came to Wabash Co. Il. in 1837 but since they were married in Lebanon Co. I can only assume that at least one set of parents lived there at the time of the courtship and marriage. I would very much like to find the parents af both Jacob and Christina and to determine the immigrant ancestors on each line.

I am researching the name SHARTZER/SCHARTZER. Someone has supplied me with information that these families mostly descended from Johan Jacob SCHERTZER who emigrated to America in 1738 and settled in Lancaster County. His descendants moved to Dauphin and Lebanon Counties.
I am linked to an Amos SHARTZER born in Harrisburg on 09 Jan 1837. I do not know any earlier information on him other than his parents were born in Pennsylvania (as per the 1870 census).
I know the information I have is very vague and I apologize, but I am desperate. My best hope, church records from where they were married - the church was torn down after the 1972 Agnes Flood and I cannot locate any records.
Any information would be appreciated.
Thank You,
Anne Marie

REED & MOYER Family
Adam Moyer (born: Jan.1827, died: Sept.1885) married to Susan Moyer (maiden name not known)(born: Oct.1833, died: June 1904). I believe they were buried in Ebenezer Cemetary (not sure). Don't have either of their parent's names.
I know that they had about 10 children, but the only names I have are: Caroline, Emma, William, Ellen and Sallie. Sallie was born in Aug. 1870 or 1871, died April 1933 in NJ. She married Newton Charles Reed (born: Jan.1871, died: May,1929) of Cressona, Schuylkill Co, PA.
