ALLAN F. MEADE

ALLAN F. MEADE died peacefully in his sleep Friday morning, June 20, 2003. He was 95.

He was the husband for 69 years of ELEN MACNAMARA MEADE.

Mr. Meade was born in Philadelphia, moved to Kansas, where he attended high school, and then moved back to Philadelphia. He was a longtime resident of Hatboro, having moved there from Philadelphia in the early 1940s.

He worked for the City of Philadelphia, before moving to Hatboro to establish a building company and realty office.

Mr. Meade had been active for many years in community and civic groups in the Hatboro area. He was recently honored with a 50-year pin from the Scottish Rite Consistory (of the Masons).

Mr. Meade was preceded in death by his mother and father, MARY STODDART MEADE and ALLAN FRANKLIN MEADE; his sister, BETTY DILULLO; and his brothers, KENNARD MEADE and JAMES R. MEADE.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, June 23, in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro, where friends may call from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Jim Sutton of Hatboro Baptist Church. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. in Hatboro Cemetery on Fulmor Road.

The pallbearers will be his grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 3551 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140-4131.
