ZIRWAS - THEISS

Miss Ellen THEISS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil THEISS of Primrose, and Second Class Petty Officer Harry ZIRWAS, stationed with the U.S. navy in San Diego, Calif., son of Mrs. Peter ZIRWAS of Fannie street, McDonald, were united in marriage at four o'clock Monday afternoon, March 8, 1943, in the First United Presbyterian church, Pittsburgh, by the Rev. R.L. LANNING.

The bride wore a light blue street-length dress with black accessories and a corsage of orchids and sweetpeas. The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. William BROWNLEE of Pittsburgh, brother-in-law and sister of the bride. Mrs. BROWNLEE wore an aqua blue street-length dress and a corsage of red roses.

Mrs. ZIRWAS, a 1938 graduate of Hickory high school, is assistant cashier at the Federal Supply store, McDonald.

Mr. ZIRWAS returned to camp on Thursday.

ZOOG - RETZER

At a pretty ceremony solemnized in the Mt. Pleasant United Presbyterian church, Hickory, at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 14, 1934, Miss Mary Emma RETZER, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles RETZER of Hickory, became the bride of Jerome ZOOG, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis ZOOG of Canonsburg. The nuptial service was read by the bride's pastor, the Rev. Clyde L. MYERS, in the presence of twenty-five relatives and friends.  The bride was gowned in a yellow traveling suit and wore a corsage of white gardenias and roses. Miss Florence RETZER, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, and carried a bouquet of pink roses. Richard ZOOG of Canonsburg, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Immediately after the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. ZOOG left for a trip into the Shenandoah valley and other points of interest. Upon their return they will reside in North Central avenue, Canonsburg. Mrs. ZOOG is a graduate of the Mt. Pleasant Township Vocational school and Miss Illman's Kindergarten school, Philadelphia, and has been
a successful teacher in the Hickory school.

ZUNDEL - BARTOS

Miss Ann BARTOS and William ZUNDEL were married Friday evening, April 26, 1940, in the home of the bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence ZUNDEL in 
Carnegie, by the Rev. Lawrence RHEA. The couple took an auto trip to Washington, D.C.

ZVONIK - FRIZZI

The marriage of Miss Margaret FRIZZI, daughter of Abramo FRIZZI of Midway, and Frank ZVONIK of Raccoon took place at 8 o'clock Saturday evening, October 24, in the home of the officiating clergyman, the Rev. E.L. RALSON, Midway. A reception at the home of the bride's father followed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. ZVONIK will reside near Midway.
