ZICKEFOOSE - VANCE

Mr. and Mrs. W. D. VANCE of Bavington announce the marriage of their daughter Juanita to Loraine ZICKEFOOSE, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank ZICKEFOOSE of Florence.
The ceremony was performed at eight o'clock Monday evening, September 30, 1940, in the Weirton Methodist church by the Rev. Mr. LING in the presence of the immediate families and close friends.

The bride wore a green gown with matching accessories and a corsage of lavender orchids. Mrs. Dolph HICKMAN of Scenery Hill, sister of the bridegroom, was matron of honor. Mr. Thayer VANCE, brother of the bride, served as bestman.

After the wedding, a reception was held in the VANCE home, which was decorated with pink and white flowers and candles. The wedding cake was a gift of the bride's aunt, Mrs. Brant WILSON of Zelienople. Refreshments were served. The bride's aunt, Mrs. L. L. WEIGEL, sang "I Love You Truly" and "Beloved". Larry WELTE contributed several piano selections. 

Mr. ZICKEFOOSE is a graduate of Union high school, Burgettstown, and West Virginia university. Mrs. ZICKEFOOSE is a graduate of Findlay Vocational school, Imperial. After a short Southern trip, the young couple will reside in Weirton heights.

Present at the reception were the Frank ZICKEFOOSES and son Franklin, the Dolph HICKMANS, the Ted MOYERS, the HEISLER family, the W. D. VANCES, son Thayer, and daughter Madelon, the Clark VANCES, the L. A. WELTES, the Lee WEIGELS and son Richard, the Clifford WADES, Betty Ann WADE and John ROY.

A very pretty quiet home wedding took place at 8:30 o'clock Friday morning, June 24, 1932, when Miss Elizabeth KNEPPER, daughter of Mrs. Margaret W. KNEPPER of 515 North Highland avenue, Oakdale, became the bride of Albert R. ZIEGLER, son of Mrs. Mary ZIEGLER of Oakdale in the sickroom of the bride's aunt Miss Jennie WALLACE in the presence of the mothers of the bride and bridegroom. The Rev. Dr. J. Melvin KEYS of Oakdale performed the ceremony. The bride was adorned in alice blue net frock with rose sash and carried...  [remainder of article missing].

ZIMA - PROVOLISH

Anna [PROVOLISH], daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis PROVOLISH of Gladden, and Longinus ZIMA, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank ZIMA of Geneva,Ohio, were united in marriage at nine o'clock Saturday morning, June 26, 1937, in St. Mary's church, Cecil, the Rev. Fr. KOPERA officiating. The bride was attired in a white satin gown with a veil of tulle. She carried white roses and lilies of the valley. The bridesmaids were Miss Victoria PROVOLISH of Gladden and Miss Eugenia ZIMA of Geneva. Miss PROVOLISH was attired in pink chiffon and Miss ZIMA chose orchid satin. Zigman ZIMA of Geneva and Henry SLOKA of Sygan were the other attendants. Miss Mary QUINN of Cecil played the wedding music and Andrew SMIALEK was the vocalist. Following the ceremony a reception was held in the home of the bride's parents. There were 200 at the reception with 150 seated at the bride's table. The young couple left on a honeymoon trip to Cleveland and Niagara Falls. Upon their return they will reside in Geneva. Mrs. ZIMA is a graduate of South Fayette high school. Mr. ZIMA is a graduate of Geneva high school and Ohio Northern university. He is a foreman in an industrial factory.

ZIMMER - RUSSELL

The marriage of Miss Anna Mary RUSSELL, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James S. RUSSELL of Midway, and Wallace James ZIMMER, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. ZIMMER of West View, was solemnized at 7:45 o'clock Saturday evening, June 3, 1939, in the home of the bride's parents, in the presence of about 45 guests. The exchange of vows was heard by the Rev. Alfred HUBBARD, pastor of the Center United Presbyterian church, before an embankment of palms and ferns arranged in the livingroom. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a frock of white organza and lace and her shoulder-length veil was held in place with a tiara of velvet orange blossoms. She carried an arm bouquet of white calla lilies and babybreath. Miss Mae ZIMMER of West view, sister of the bridegroom, as maid of honor,
wore pink organza with tiara of pink, and carried pink roses and babybreath. Miss Rena RAAB of Midway, as bridesmaid, wore aqua organza with matching tiara, and carried pink roses and babybreath.  Virgil RUSSELL, brother of the bride, served as bestman. The bridal party entered the livingroom to the strains of Lohengrin's Wedding March played by Theodore COLLIER of Hazelwood. Miss Thelma DOUGLASS
of Carnegie, a cousin of the bride, sang, "Oh, Promise Me," and "I Love You Truly," accompanied by Mr. COLLIER, before the ceremony.

The bride's mother wore a costume of ashes of roses lace with corsage of roses, and the bridegroom's mother wore lace of the same shade, with corsage of roses. 

A reception followed the ceremony. Covers were laid for fifteen at the bride's table, where the centerpiece was a large wedding cake arranged in tiers. 

Mr. and Mrs. ZIMMER left for a wedding trip and upon their return will be at home at Grove avenue, West View.
