CLUB GIVES MISCELLANEOUS SHOWER

The Winona Book Club, instead of meeting with Mrs. MORRISON as before announced, met a the home of Mrs. Elmer BOCK. The members of the society gave a miscellaneous shower for Miss Elizabeth MORROW, who is to be married at an early date to Mr. Warren WALLACE of Oakdale. Miss MORROW received many valuable and useful presents. Mrs. Glenn Wendell HOLLY, nee Miss Jennie WELSH, a bride of May nineteenth and a member of the club, was present. A very elaborate lunch was served by Mrs. BOCK, who was assisted by Mrs. R. A. MAWHINNEY and the Misses Emelia and Ruby BOCK.

Margaret Orr COCHRAN, daughter of Mrs. Cassie COCHRAN of 330 Fanny street, McDonald, Pa., was united in marriage to Wilber Boone WALLACE, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Wilbur WALLACE of Allison avenue, Washington, Pa., by Rev. McCOLLAM, pastor of the First U. P. church. After a motor trip through the East, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace will be at home at 226 McKinley avenue, Washington, Pa.

WALLHAUSER ? SNEDDON

Miss Jean H. SNEDDON, Juvenile Court nurse, Pittsburgh, and Dr. Andrew W. WALLHAUSER, pathologist and bacteriologist on the staffs of the University of Pittsburgh and the Presbyterian hospital, were married at 7:30 o?clock Monday evening, March 10, 1941, in the Shadyside Presbyterian church, Pittsburgh, by Dr. Hugh Thompson KERR.

The young couple will reside in the King Edward annex apartment, Pittsburgh. Mrs. WALLHAUSER is a former Midway resident.

MARRIAGE OF NURSE ANNOUNCED
[ WALTERS - ARCURE ]

Announcement is made of the marriage of Miss Theresa ARCURE, registered nurse, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy ARCURE of Westland, to Mr. Ray WALTERS of New Eagle. The couple were married Saturday, August 3, 1940, with the Rev. Father J. Edward ISTOCIN, pastor of the St. Patrick?s Roman Catholic church, Canonsburg, officiating.

The bride was graduated from the Mercy hospital school of nursing [sic] and for several years has been assistant to Dr. E. L. HAZLETT at his Midland office of the Pittsburgh Coal Co. Mr. Walters is an employee of the Jones & Laughlin Co.

SMITH of Venice, and Verner WALTERS of McDonald were united in marriage on Wednesday afternoon, February 16, 1921, at four o'clock, at the home of the officiating minister, the Rev. C. T. LITTELL, at Venice. The young couple are staying at the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. WALTERS, in North McDonald street, until they can get a house.

WARCHOL ? McCLEMENTS

Miss Margaret McCLEMENTS of Cherry Valley and Mr. Michael WARCHOL of Atlasburg were united in marriage at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 1940, in the Cross Creek Presbyterian church. The bride wore a white net gown and carried roses. The matron-of-honor, Mrs. Isabella CLIFFORD of Cherry Valley, wore a blue net gown and carried lilies of the valley. Mr. William CLIFFORD of Cherry Valley served as bestman. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver CUJAS, Jr., of Raccoon also witnessed the ceremony. Miss Bess DONAHUE of Cross Creek played the wedding music. A reception followed. There were about 20 guests, eight seated at the bride?s table.
