Quite a pretty wedding occurred recently at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. MORROW of Bocktown when their daughter Sadie and Rev. Charles WALLACE of Colorado were united in marriage in the presence of about sixty guests. The young couple are well known here, both having taught in this vicinity. Mr. WALLACE is a graduate of Geneva college and assisted Prof. GLASS in Imperial academy for several terms. He also worked as bookkeeper for the Pittsburg Coal Co. in their office above town. He then entered the Allegheny Theological Seminary and while attending the seminary occupied the pulpit of the Noblestown U. P. church for a time as a stated supply. Shortly after graduating from the seminary he was called to the church at Colorado Springs where he has since been preaching. Miss MORROW taught in the public schools near here for several years and has many friends at this place. Miss MORROW was a successful teacher and very prominent in church and social affairs.

WALLACE ? PHILLIPS

Miss Laura PHILLIPS, daughter of Scott A. Phillips of R. D. 2, Canonsburg, and Foster WALLACE, a prosperous farmer and dairyman of Cecil township, were united in marriage Monday, July 3, 1939, in Winchester, Va., by the Rev. Charles A. GILKISON. The announcement was made following their return from a Southern wedding trip through the Virginias and to other points of interest.

Mrs. WALLACE was graduated from the Cecil township high school. Mr. WALLACE is an alumnus of Geneva college, Beaver Falls, and is active in community affairs. At present his is president of the Cecil township board of education. He has served as a member of the board for 12 years, nine of which he has occupied the president?s chair. Besides his activity in educational circles, Mr. WALLACE is an active member of the Miller?s Run Grange.

Mr. and Mrs. WALLACE will reside at the Wallace homestead.

WALLACE - MECHLIN

The marriage of Marie McILVAINE MECHLIN, daughter of the late Rev. John C. and Mrs. MECHLIN of Akron, Ohio, to Howard C. WALLACE, also of Akron, son of Mrs. Mabel WALLACE of Third street, McDonald, was solemnized Wednesday evening, November 25, 1936, in the WALLACE home. The ring ceremony was used, the Rev. Oscar E. GARDNER, D.D., pastor of the First Presbyterian church of McDonald, officiating.

The bride was attractively attired in wine crepe, and wore a shoulder corsage of gardenias. After the ceremony, a delicious lunch was served. Only members of the immediate families were present.
