WALKER - BERNARDI

St. Mary's church in Cecil was the scene of the quiet wedding on Saturday, August 9, when Miss Ann BERNARDI, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emmanuel BERNARDI of R.D. 3(?), McDonald, became the bride of James WALKER, son of Mr. and Mrs. James WALKER of R.D. 1, Canonsburg. The Rev. Fr. George PASTORIOUS officiated at the double ring ceremony. Music was provided by the church organist, Mrs. QUINN.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a light blue crepe dress with white accessories, with a corsage of white roses and delphinium. Miss Amika BERNARDI as the bride's only attendant, was dressed in yellow crepe, with a corsage of pink roses. Jack WALKER was bestman.

Mrs. BERNARDI, mother of the bride, wore a gray print dress, and Mrs. WALKER, mother of the bridegroom, a light blue dress. Each had a corsage of red roses.

Following the ceremony, a dinner was held for the immediate families of the couple, and later Mr. and Mrs. WALKER were honor guests at a reception held at the home of the bride. Approximately 100 guests were present.

Mrs. WALKER is a graduate of Cecil high school and is employed at the Continental Can Company, Canonsburg. The bridegroom attended Cecil high school and is now working at the Muse mine.

Mr. and Mrs. WALKER are at home to their friends on Craighead street, Canonsburg.

WALKER - CAUCHIE Nuptials

The marriage of Miss Ruth Elizabeth CAUCHIE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph CAUCHIE of
Liberty street, McDonald, and Paul WALKER, son of Mrs. L. WALKER of Venice, was solemnized
at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 25, 1946, in the home of the bride's parents.

The marriage vows, which were read by Dr. A. A. MAGE of the Irons Memorial French church, were given before an embankment of Christmas pine and poinsettia arrangement, with white Christmas bells and red candles. A lighted Christmas tree added to the setting.

The wedding was performed in the presence of the members of the immediate families and a few friends.

The bride was attired in a beige wool street dress with gold sequin hat and gold accessories, and she wore a gold and ruby bracelet, a gift of the bridegroom. Her corsage was of American Beauty roses. She wore a leopard skin coat and hat to match for traveling.

Following the ceremony a three-course dinner was served, with sixteen at the bride's table. A reception was also held in the home from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. after which the young couple left for a short honeymoon.

The bride is a graduate of McDonald high school, class of 1936, and has since been employed by the G. C. Murphy Co. in McDonald. The bridegroom is a graduate Cecil township high school and is employed by the Universal Co., Bridgeville. He served two years in the army and recently received an honorable discharge. They will reside for the present with the bridegroom's mother in Venice.

Mr. and Mrs. C. M. WEBB of North Jackson street, Bellevue, announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Florence Early WEBB, and William McCONNELL WALKER of Kittanning, son of J. Scott WALKER of WALKER's Mill.

The ceremony took place Saturday morning in the home of Rev. and Mrs. James E. WALKER of Long Island City, N. Y. Rev. WALKER is pastor of the Astoria Presbyterian church of Long Island City and is an uncle of the bridegroom.

Immediately following the wedding, the couple left for Bermuda. On their return, they will stop at Atlantic City and Philadelphia. 

Mrs. WALKER is a graduate of Slippery Rock State college and Mr. WALKER of the chemical engineering department of the University of Pittsburgh. They will be at home in Kittanning after September 1. 

Mr. WALKER was formerly a teacher in the McDonald High school.
