WAGNER - BERRY

Miss Ruth BERRY, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. E. BERRY of Follansbee, W.Va., and Donald WAGNER of Marland Heights, W.Va., were united in marriage at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 1947, in the parsonage of the First Presbyterian church in Follansbee. The pastor, the Rev. Carl BECKMAN, performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride wore a gray gabardine suit with dark brown accessories and she carried a colonial bouquet. Mrs. Robert OBREMSKI as bridesmaid wore a pastel blue suit with cherry coke accessories and a corsage of white gardenias. Edgar WAGNER, cousin of the bridegroom, served as bestman.

Following the ceremony a reception for about fifty guests was held in the home of the bride's parents. The bride is a registered nuse in Ohio Valley hospital. Mr. WAGNER is employed at the Weirton Steel Co. Upon their return from a honeymoon in Florida they will make their home in Weirton.

Mrs. WAGNER is a granddaughter of Mrs. Emma BERRY and Mr. and Mrs. C. I. MYERS.

Those from McDonald who attended the BERRY-WAGNER wedding in Follansbee, W.Va., on Saturday, November 22, were Mrs. C.I. MYERS and daughter Miss Maude, Mrs. Emma BERRY and son John, Mr. and Mrs. Edward BERRY and daughters Alice Jean [BERRY] and Mary Ellen [BERRY], Mr. and Mrs. William BERRY, daughter Patty Jean [BERRY] and son Bily [BERRY], Mr. and Mrs. Charles MYERS, Jr., daughter Patty Lou [MYERS], and son Charles [MYERS], Jr., Mrs. Joseph COOPER, Mr. and Mrs. William LIDSTER, Mrs. Elmer BROWN and son BILLY [BROWN], Mr. and Mrs. John McELHANEY, and Mr. and Mrs. John McVICKER and son Richard John [McVICKER].

A pretty wedding occurred at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. L. ARMSTRONG, 233 North Jefferson avenue, Canonsburg, Saturday, June 9, at noon, when their daughter Ida Grace, became the bride of Frank WAGNER, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter WAGNER, of Broad street, Washington. The ring ceremony was performed by the pastor of the bride, Dr. W. P. AIKEN. Attendants were Miss Laura ARMSTRONG, sister of the bride, as maid of honor, and Floyd McCONNELL of Canonsburg, as best man. The Lohengrin wedding march was played by Miss Kathryn DUNLEVY.

The bride wore orchid georgette with rhinestone trimming and carried a shower bouquet of white roses. The maid of honor was dressed in pink crepe de chine trimmed with ecru lace and her flowers were pink roses. Following the ceremony, a four course dinner was served, covers being laid for 40 guests with 10 at the bride's table. The bride and groom are on a two weeks motor trip thru the western states, during which they will stop in Chicago, where they will visit the bride's brothers, Jesse and Frank ARMSTRONG, and families. Upon their return, they will be at home to their friends at 134 McCarrell avenue, Washington, Pa. Mr. and Mrs. WAGNER were accompanied by the latter's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Russell ARMSTRONG, of West Pike street.

On Tuesday morning, February 17, at ten o'clock in the St. Barmara's church at Roseville, occurred the marriage of Mis [sic] Alma CEDAT of Sturgeon [Pa] and Nicholas J. WAGNER, of Cecil [Pa].  The wedding ceremony was performed by Rev. Eather MOTOR.  The bride was gowned in a dark blue suit with hat to match, and carried white rose buds.  Miss Jeanne Cedat, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, and wore a gown of beautiful flowered georgette crepe and carried pink roses.  John F. WAGNER, brother of the groom acted as best man.  Mr. and Mrs. WAGNER left for a short wedding trip and will be at home in Cecil after March 1st.  Mr. and Mrs. WAGNER receive the heartiest congratulations from their many friends.

WALIKIS - DEBNAR 

Mary DEBNAR, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John DEBNAR, and Anthony WALIKIS, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony WALIKIS, were united in marriage with a nuptial high mass at 8 o'clock Thursday, June 25, 1936, in St. Mary's church, Cecil, by the Rev. Fr. KOPERA.  Helen DEBNAR was her sister's maid of honor and Bertha DEBNAR was her sister's bridesmaid. Peter WALIKIS of Binghamton, N.Y., was best man and Joseph SUHAYDA of Oakdale was usher.  The bride was gowned in white satin train dress with veil and carried lilies. The maid of honor was dressed in yellow with pink accessories and carried roses.  The bridesmaid was attired in pink with yellow accessories. The wedding music was played and sung by Miss Mary QUINN, the church organist.  After the church services a wedding breakfast was served in the bride's home with [service] for fifteen. An evening reception was held with dancing and music by Anthony's orchestra of Pittsburgh. About 500 guests were present. The bride attended Cecil high school and the bridegroom is a graduate of the Business School of New York.
