The marriage of Miss Grace BRIGHTWELL, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. BRIGHTWELL of Washington, and William Claire VIRTUE of Florence, formerly of Washington, took place at two o'clock Monday afternoon, September 17, 1917. The ceremony was performed at the residence of the officiating minister, the Rev. Matthew RUTHERFORD, D. D., in Washington. Mr. and Mrs. VIRTUE left for a short wedding trip. Mr. VIRTUE is a machinist. He is well known in the Midway section, having often visited at the home of his aunt, Mrs. Luella BALDWIN.

VOJTASKO ? PUSKAR

Miss Cecelia PUSKAR, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen PUSKAR of Imperial, and Mr. Stephen VOJTASKO, son of Stephen VOJTASKO of McKees Rocks, were united in marriage at a solemn high mass at nine o?clock Wednesday morning, October 16, 1940, in St. Columbkille?s church, Imperial. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Fr. Stanley KUPIEC before an altar beautifully decorated with white pompoms, chrysanthemums, and baby mums. Father KUPIEC was assisted by Father DOMENICK of O.S.F. of Avalon and Father Dietrich of Duquesne university.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white satin and lace with white accessories. She wore a pearl necklace, the gift of the bridegroom. Her long veil was of tulle and her cap formed a coronet of small pearls. Her bouquet was of white roses and lilies of the valley. The maid of honor, Miss Agnes McCARTNEY of Pittsburgh, wore a long cornflower-blue taffeta gown with gold slippers and a tiara of yellow baby mums. She carried a bouquet of yellow baby mums tied with a yellow ribbon. The bridesmaids, Miss Martha VOJTASKO of McKees Rocks, a sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Margaret KE?LEY [? either Keiley or Kelley?] and Miss Lillian VALENT of Imperial, wore long gowns of gold taffeta with gold slippers and pearl necklaces, gifts of the bride. Their tiaras were of baby mums. They carried bouquets of baby mums, tied with Indian brown ribbon. Mr. Charles PUSKAR, brother of the bride, served as bestman and the ushers were Mr. Andrew ANDRESKO, Mr. John BJALOBAK, and Mr. Joseph STANCHAK, all of McKees Rocks. The wedding music was played by the church organist, Joseph KRANAK of Pittsburgh, and the St. George?s choir of Pittsburgh sang.

A wedding breakfast followed the ceremony in the bride?s home. Covers were laid for 26 with sixteen seated at the bride?s table. A large wedding cake formed the table centerpiece. The room was beautifully decorated with fall flowers. A reception was held that evening in Union hall, Imperial, with approximately 100 guests in attendance. The young couple left for an Eastern wedding trip and upon their return will reside in David avenue, McKees Rocks, where Mr. VOJTASKO is employed by the A. & P. Tea Co.

Miss Sara WELLS MOORE, daughter of William Morgan MOORE of Bavington, and Inge G. VOLDEN of Coraopolis were united in marriage Saturday, September 19, 1942, in the Robinson United Presbyterian church, by the pastor, the Rev. Robert B. FULTON.

Mr. and Mrs. VOLDAN will reside in Wilmington, Del.

Von DERA - EYE

Miss Dorothy F. EYE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. EYE of First street, Oakdate, and Robert Von DERA, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Von DERA of Mt. Oliver, were united in marriage at 7:30 o'clock Tuesday evening, March 30, 1943, in the First Presbyterian church, Oakdale. The Rev. William HADDEN of Aliquippa performed the ceremony. The church was decorated with ferns and a gold cross was in the foreground.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin and lace gown with a fingertip veil and a tiara of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of calla lilies. The maid of honor, Miss Eleanor DOERR of Mt. Oliver, wore a gown of ice-blue net with matching accessories and a tiara of ice-blue velour flowers. The bridesmaids were Miss Margaret MOORE of Oakdale, who wore pink satin and net with a tiara of pink snapdragons in her hair and Miss Margie WIL[___?] of Oakdale, who wore yellow brocaded satin and net and a tiara of yellow snapdragons in her hair. Russell EICKER of Mt. Oliver served as bestman and the ushers were Clarence RUMMEL of Overbrook and Joseph EYE, Jr., of Oakdale brother of the bride. The flower girls, Susan and Virginia GOSSETT, wore yellow and pink net.

Jack FLUKE of Oakdale played the wedding music and Donald SUTTON of Oakdale sang "Because" and "Dearly Beloved."

Following the ceremony, a reception was held for sixty in the home of the bride's parents. A three-tiered wedding cake with a miniature bride and bridegroom and white, pink, blue, and yellow candles formed the table centerpiece. The bride's mother wore dark blue trimmed in rose and the bridegroom's mother chose purple.

The young couple took a trip to New York and after April 1 will reside at 104 First street, Oakdale.

Mrs. Von DERA is a 1938 graduate of Oakdale high school. Mr. Von DERA graduated from Mt. Oliver high and Pitt university.

Mr. and Mrs. Von DERA are both employed in the Mellon National bank Pittsburgh.

The announcement of the marriage of Mr. Louis VOYE and Miss Mae BEATTY came as a surprise to their many friends. They were married at Youngstown, O., on February 7th, and succeeded in keeping it from their friends until Wednesday. They are both popular young people of town and are now receiving the congratulations of their friends.
