Miss Margaret K. LABONS of Pittsburgh, daughter of Mrs. Bertha HRSAH, of Republic, Fayette county, Pa., and Herman VERELST, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman VERELST of Sturgeon, were united in marriage Saturday, September 4, 1943, at 11:00 a.m. in the Presbyterian church at Republic.

The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Thomas E. PLITCHER.

The bride wore white satin with a full-length veil and carried white regal lilies. The flower girl, Ida Mae LEGRAND of McDonald, wore a white party dress and carried red roses. The ring bearer, Jules FAVAND, Jr., nephew of the bridegroom, wore a blue sailor suit.

The wedding was witnessed by members of the immediate families and later dinner was served at the home of the bride.

Those present from this locality were Mr. and Mrs. Armand VERELST, parents of the bridegroom, Miss Eva VERELST, a sister, the Jules FAVAND, Sr., family, all of Sturgeon, the Joseph LEGRAND family of McDonald.

Mr. VERELST expects to leave about September 15 for his merchant marine station. Mrs. Verelst will return to her employment in Pittsburgh. At present they are staying with the bridegroom?s parents.

VERNILLO - HEUSTON

Miss Wilda HEUSTON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merle HEUSTON of Dickson street, Midway, and Domenick VERNILLO, son of Mr. and Mrs. Domenick VERNILLO, Sr., of Burgettstown, were united in marriage at 7:40 p.m. Monday, July 28, 1947, in the rectory of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Burgettstown. The Rev. Fr. W. J. McCASHIN performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride wore a fitted white satin gown with a short train and leg-of-mutton sleeves which came to a point at the wrist. Her fingertip veil fell from a crown of orange blossoms and she carried a bouquet of white roses and babies'-breath centered with an orchid. Her only jewelry was a strand of pearls and a watch, gifts of the bridegroom. For something old she carried a white lace handkerchief which belonged to her great-great-grandmother, and for luck she wore a penny in her shoe.

The maid of honor was Miss Stephania FEMOVICH of Midway and the bridesmaids were Miss Mary Rose EANNANCE, cousin of the bridegroom, and Miss Naomi HEUSTON, sister of the bride. Each wore a gown of chartruse [sic]faille with bell hop jackets, short sleeves and full skirts with white lace mitts. They carried colonial bouquets of assorted talisman flowers with talisman ribbon streamers. They had tufts of babies'-breath with talisman ribbon [in] their hair. Michael VERNILLO, brother of the bridegroom, served as bestman and Kenneth CAPAZZOLL and John EANNANCE, cousins of the bridegroom, were ushers.

The bride's mother wore a black print dress with black accessories and the bridegroom's mother wore a gray print dress with black accessories. Each wore a corsage of red roses.

Following the ceremony a reception for 250 guests was held in the B.I.C. hall, Burgettstown.

Mrs. VENILLO, a 1941 graduate of Midway high school, is employed by the A. & P. Co. in Midway. Mr. VERNILLO, a 1940 graduate of Union high school, Burgettstown, is employed in the Pennsylvania Liquor store.

The couple left for a week's honeymoon to Conneaut Lake. For traveling the bride wore a red and white striped suit with navy accessories and an orchid corsage. Upon their return they will reside in Burgettstown.
Guests were present from Baden, Washington, Wilkinsburg, McDonald, Canonsburg, Weirton, W.Va., and Mingo Junction, Ohio.

Miss Dorothy DAVIDSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John DAVIDSON of Bridgeville, and John VEYDT, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis VEYDT, Sr., of Cecil were married at 6:45 p.m. Saturday, September 14, 1940, in the home of the Rev. E. W. JONES in Bridgeville.

The bride wore a blue velvet gown with a corsage of gardenias. The bridesmaid, Miss Florence BEVICK of Bridgeville, wore a wine velvet gown with a corsage of gardenias. Mr. Alex VEYDT of Cecil, brother of the bridegroom, was bestman, and the wedding music was played by Mrs. S. WINNICHUKE of Bridgeville.

A reception was held in French hall, Cecil. Mrs. VEYDT attended Bridgeville high school. Mr. VEYDT, a graduate of Cecil high school, is employed in the National No. 3 mine at Muse. They will reside on the Hickory grade road.

Mr. Ralph G. VIEHMAN of Knoxville and Miss Margaret O'BRIEN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. O'BRIEN of Mt. Oliver were united in marriage Thursday, April 16th, 1925 at 5:30 o'clock in the parish house of the St. Canice church of Knoxville. Rev. KANE performed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. VIEHMAN immediately after the ceremony left for Washington, D.C. They will reside in the apartments recently vacated by Mr. and Mrs. Robert McCARTY in Lincoln avenue. Mr. VIEHMAN is employed in the McDonald Savings and Trust company.
