UFFELMAN – MARLIER
Miss Gladys Marie MARLIER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fernal MARLIER of Carnegie, and Wayne R.
Uffelman, a junior assistant engineer in the merchant marine, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Uffelman of Gladden heights, McDonald, were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 1944, before an improvised altar of ferns and spring flowers in the livingroom of the MARLIER home, by the Rev. John H. HARE, pastor of the Hawthorne Avenue Presbyterian church, Crafton.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a pale blue ensemble with white accessories and an orchid corsage. Mrs. Roy H. Wissel of Pittsburgh, sister of the bride, as bridesmaid, wore a pink jersey dress and a corsage of gardenias. Thomas R. Uffelman of Jeannette, brother of the bridegroom, served as
bestman.
Following the ceremony, the wedding party and guests had dinner at the Hotel
Schenley, Pittsburgh, after which the young couple left for a brief wedding trip.
