Mr. and Mrs. Howard CAMPBELL of Midwat announce the marriage of their
daughter Miss Frances M. Campbell to John K. TOWARD of East Lincoln
avenue, McDonald, which took place February 1, 1934. Ned DAVIDSON
witnessed the ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. Edward A. KRAPP,
pastor of the First Presbyterian church in Wellsburg, W.Va.

[ TOWARD is the Groom. ]
The marriage of Miss Nancy LaVerne LAWSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John N. LAWSON of Midway, and John P. TOWARD, son of Mr. and
Mrs. George P. TOWARD of McDonald, was solemnized Saturday evening at 6:55 o'clock in the bride's home by the Rev. L. G. RICHEY, pastor
of the M. E. church of McDonald. The bride who was given in marriage by her uncle, F. A. HOWE of Burgettstown, appeared in ivory crepe
embroidered in seed pearls and carried a shower of white roses and lilies of the valley. Miss Henrietta C. TOWARD, sister of the groom, was
bridesmaid and appeared in pink georgette and carried pink roses. Warren SHIREY of McDonald was best man. William DAVIDSON of
Midway played the wedding music and Miss Elsie NEAL of Candor sang "Oh Promise Me." Following the wedding a dinner was served. The
bride is a graduate of Midway High school, class of 1928.

A wedding of interest to many in the northern end of Washington county took place Wednesday, June 17, 1936, in Wheeling, when Miss Mary COWDEN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William COWDEN of Hickory, and Thomas TOWARD of McDonald were united in marriage by the Rev. Joel WADE, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of Wheeling. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs.
A. L. LEROY of Ellwood City. After a trip through the Shenandoah Valley, Washington, D.C., and other points of interest, they will be at home to their friends in McDonald.

Miss Annabelle ELKINS and W. A. TOWNSEND, both of the Eastend, Pittsburgh, were united in marriage at three o'clock
Sunday afternoon, December 25, 1938, in the First Presbyterian
parsonage, McDonald, the Rev. O. E. GARDNER, D. D. officiating. The young couple were accompanied by the bride's
father, her brother David, and by Miss Jean SHIRLEY, all of the Eastend.

TRAUTMAN - THOMAS
Miss Norma THOMAS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. J. THOMAS
of Seventh avenue, Coraopolis and Alvin TRAUTMAN, son of Mrs. Elizabeth TRAUTMAN of Imperial, were united in marriage at 3:30
p.m. Saturday, June 28, 1947, in the Methodist church, Coraopolis.
The pastor, the Rev. A. C. Shultz, performed the single ring ceremony before an embankments of ferns.
The bride wore a white gabardine suit with white accessories and carried a hand corsage of gardenias. The maid of honor, Miss Dorothy
THOMAS, sister of the bride wore a pink gabardine suit with matching accessories and a rosebud corsage. Laverne SCOTT of the Steubenville
Pike, cousin of the bridegroom, served as bestman. The bride's mother wore a pink and white striped dress and the mother of the bridegroom
wore navy blue, each with a corsage of pink rosebuds.
Following the ceremony, a reception for fifty guests was held in the home of the bride's parents. A three-tiered wedding cake formed the
centerpiece.
The bride is employed as a secretary at the Sewickley Valley hospital.
The bridegroom is an employee of the Peoples Natural Gas Co., Imperial.
Following a short wedding trip, they will reside in Imperial.
Out-of-town guests were from Imperial, Oakdale, MeKees Rocks, Harrisburg, and
Bastan.
