Cecil Man Weds Canonsburg Girl

On Sunday afternoon, May 18, at 1 o'clock in the Canonsburg U. P. church, Miss Mary S. BUCCI of Canonsburg, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam
BUCCI, formerly of Houston, became the bride of Guy S. TORNEBENE, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam TORNEBENE, Cecil. Rev. H. Ross HUME officiated at
the double ring ceremony. Miss Angeline TORNEBENE, sister of the bridegroom
sang "I Love You Truly" and at the conclusion of the ceremony, "The Lord's
Prayer."
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Thomas BUCCI of Houston.
Miss Louise TORNEBENE, sister of the bridegroom, was her only attendant.
In the evening a reception was held at the Houston Grill with approximately
100 guests. present.
Upon their return from a wedding trip to New York and other points of interest the couple will reside in Canonsburg.

TORNABENE - LOCKHART
In her home before a background of trailing vines of pink roses, Miss Jane LOCKHART, daughter of Mrs.
W. S. LOCKHART, and the late Hon. William S. LOCKHART, of Station street, McDonald, became the bride of Mr. Guy TORNABENE, son of Mrs. Josephine TORNABENE of North street, McDonald, on Monday morning, June 9, 1941, at 9:30 o'clock. Dr. Oscar E. GARDNER, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of McDonald, performed the ring ceremony in the prsence of the immediate families. Music was played during the entire ceremony by the bride's sister, Mrs. James W. CAMPBELL. The bride wore an ivory costume of cashmere with brown and gold accessories and had a corsage of roses and sweet peas. The bridesmaid, Miss Ann FORESTER of Sheridan, cousin of the bride, wore an olive green costume and a corsage of roses and sweet peas. Mr. Alphonse TORNABENE, brother of the bridegroom, served as bestman. Following the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served in the Paxton Manor. Twenty guests were seated at the table where ramblers oof pink roses and a large wedding cake served as the centerpieces.
Mrs. TORNABENE, a graduate of McDonald high school and the College of Wooster, is a teacher of Latin, French and English, in the McDonald high school. Mr. TORNABNE, a graduate of McDonald high school and Waynesburg college, is the football coach and instructor of science in the North Fayette township high school. After a northern wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. TORNABENE will reside at 323 North Station street, McDonald.

TORNABENE - MASLO
Miss Olga MASLO, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony MASLO of Bishop, R.D. 3, McDonald, and Sgt. Regis G. TORNABENE, stationed with the Air corps in Greenville, S.C., son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel TORNABENE of Cecil, were united in marriage at nine o'clock Wednesday morning, July 7, 1943, in St. Mary's Roman Catholic church, Cecil, by the Rev. Fr. Leo PASTORIOUS.
The bride wore a white satin gown with veil and a long train. She carried a bouquet of white roses. The bridesmaids were Miss Armania MASLO, sister of the bride, who wore a blue gown and carried a bouquet of tea roses tied with a blue ribbon, and Miss Charlotte TORNABENE, sister of the bridegroom, who wore a blue gown and carried pink roses. Dominic LUATA served as bestman and Guy S. TORNABENE, brother of the bridegroom, was the usher.
Corporal and Mrs. TORNABENE are both graduates of Cecil high school. Corporal TORNABENE returned to Greenville, S.C., on Tuesday.

TOURNAY - MILLER
Miss Betty MILLER of Oakdale and Paul TOURNAY of McDonald were married at 6:45 o'clock Saturday evening, February 8, 1941, in the home of the officiating minister, the Rev.
W. V. RITCHIE, pastor of the Oakdale United Presbyterian church.
The bride wore a maroon-colored dress with a matching hat. Her corsage was of yellow roses and lilies of the valley. The matron of honor, Mrs. Margaret KUNKLE of McDonald, sister of the bridegroom, wore a black velvet dress with a corsage of red roses. Robert ARMSTRONG of Sturgeon served as bestman. The bride's parents and the bridegroom's mother also witnessed the ceremony.
A wedding supper was served in the home of the bride's parents in Oakdale. There were 35 guests. The young couple will reside with the bride's parents.
