At a prettily appointed home wedding at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Buchanan Saturday afternoon, October 16, 1926, at three o?clock, Miss Margaret G. LYLE was united in marriage with William W. THOMPSON of Avella. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dwight B. DAVIDSON, pastor of the Mt. Prospect Presbyterian church, Hickory, and the only attendants were the flower girls, Betty and Jean HAZLETT, daughters of Dr. and Mrs. E. L. HAZLETT of Canonsburg. Miss Sara BUCHANAN, a niece of the bride, sang ?O Promise Me.? Following the ceremony a wedding luncheon was served. Out-of-town guests included Mr. and Mrs. J. C. KERR, and Dr. and Mrs. E. L. HAZLETT of Canonsburg, and Howard THOMPSON of Brownsville. At the homestead farm, near Avella, where Mr. and Mrs. THOMPSON went by auto immediately after the ceremony, a serenade was arranged Saturday night by friends and neighbors who gathered in a happy mood to extend their best wishes.

Miss Mildred LORENZ, who for a number of years has made her home with her grandmother, Mrs. George TAIT, near Imperial, and Mr. Merle TIDBALL of the Campbell's Run road, were married at the Union church parsonage, Steubenville pike, by the Rev. Mr. HILDERBRAND on Wednesday, June 11, 1924, at 10 o'clock. After the ceremony they went to the home of Mr. TIDBALL's parents of the Campbell's Run road, where a wedding dinner was served. They then left by auto on an extended wedding trip in Canada.
