THEISS - KARNS
Miss Pearl KARNS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles KARNS of Primrose, and Ernest THEISS, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil THEISS of Primrose, were united in marriage at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 1947, in the parsonage of the First United Presbyterian church, McDonald. The pastor, the Rev. S. A.
McCOLLAM, D. D., performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride wore a gray gabardine suit with navy accessories and a corsage of orchids. The maid of honor, Miss June THEISS, sister of the bridegroom, wore an aqua gabardine suit with navy accessories and an orchid corsage. Charles KARNS, Jr., brother of the bride, served as bestman. The bride's mother wore a navy two-piece dress and the bridegroom's mother wore a navy dress. Each wore a corsage of white gardenias. Following the
ceremony, a reception for 100 guests was held in the home of the bride's parents. A three-tiered wedding cake centered the bridal table. They are spending
a week in Zanesville, Ohio, where they will reside in the near future.
Attending the reception were guests from Primrose, Midway, McDonald, Lawrence, Noblestown, Oakdale, Noblestown, Burgettstown, and Candor.
Mrs. THEISS, a 1945 graduate of McDonald high school, attended the Grace Martin School of Business, Pittsburgh. Prior to her marriage, she was employed by a Pittsburgh doctor.
Mr. THEISS, a 1942, graduate of Hickory high school, is employed by the Sunnyhill Coal Co., New Lexington, Ohio.
