Miss Jean Ruth GEYER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert GEYER of Mars, and Rae STEWART of Mars were united in marriage at 8:30 p.m. Friday, January 24, 1947, in the manse of the Methodist church in Mars. The Rev. Elmer L. PARKS officiated. Miss GEYER, a 1941 graduate of the Oakdale high school, made her home with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. CONLEY, Vincennes avenue, Oakdale. Prior to her marriage, she was employed by Fisher Scientific Co., Pittsburgh. The newlyweds plan to reside in Mars.

Raymond STEWART, a son of Mrs. Anna STEWART of Oakdale, and Miss Carried ENDERS of Philadelphia were married at Valparaiso, Ind., on Tuesday, May 26. Mr. and Mrs. STEWART are both graduates of the Indiana Normal school and both taught school in North Dakota last winter, he being principal of the High School at Penn. Both are now working for a degree at the Valparaiso University. Mr. and Mrs. STEWART intend to teach 
the coming year, he having been re-elected principal of the Penn High School in North Dakota.

STEWART - BRINKMAN Nuptials

Miss Eleanor BRINKMAN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry BRINKMAN of Muse, and William STEWART, son of Mr. and Mrs. William STEWART, Sr., of R. D. 1, McDonald, were united in marriage at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 1947, in the Christian and Missionary Alliance church, McDonald. The bride's aunt, the Rev. Elizabeth DUMANN, pastor of the Church of the Nazerene, Hawthorne, performed the double ring ceremony, assisted by the Rev. F. L. THOMAS, pastor of the McDonald church. The ceremony took place by candlelight before an altar decorated with ferns and palms. Preceding the ceremony, Mrs. F. L. THOMAS played the wedding music and accompanied Mrs. J. Gordon BOGGS, who sang "At Dawning" and "O Perfect Love." 

The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Jefferson BRINKMAN, wore a white satin and tulle gown with a fingertip veil and she carried an arm bouquet of calla lilies. Miss Esther CURRY, the maid of honor, wore a pink gown and carried a bouquet of pink rosebuds. The bridesmaid, Miss Beulah BRINKMAN, sister of the bride, wore a blue gown and carried yellow rosebuds. Raymond BRINKMAN, brother of the bride, served as bestman and Louis STEWART was the usher. The bride's mother wore a blue dress with a corsage of red rosebuds and the bridegroom's mother wore a brown suit with a corsage of red roses. 

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the home of the bride's parents. A three-tiered wedding cake, circled with silver leaves and topped with a miniature bride and groom, centered the bride's table, where covers were laid for 11 guests. 

The bridegroom, employed by the Pittsburgh Coal company, served 23 months in the army, 15 of which were spent in the Pacific area and Korea. The young couple will reside in McDonald.

Peter Arthur BENNETT of Sturgeon and Miss Mary SIMONIK of McDonald were the attendants. Mr. and Mrs. STEWART will make their home in McDonald.

NICHOLS of Washington avenue, Burgettstown, and William STEWART, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo STEWART of Center avenue, McDonald, were united in marriage at three o'clock Wednesday afternoon, March 22, 1922, at Wellsburg, W. Va. The Rev. Mr. BERT, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of Wellsburg, performed the ceremony. The bride wore a blue traveling suit with hat to match. Mrs. STEWART is a graduate of the Burgettstown high school. Mr. STEWART is employed as an auto mechanic at WORK's garage.
