Mr. and Mrs. John Patterson SHANE of McDonald announce the marriage of their daughter Miss Louise SHANE to Gordon Ellsworth STARKEY, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. E. STARKEY of VanWert, Ohio.

The ceremony took place Saturday afternoon, February 23, 1935, in the Bellefield Presbyterian church, Pittsburgh, with the Dr. C. Marshall MUIR, pastor of the church and brother-in-law of the bride, officiating.

Mr. and Mrs. STARKEY left on an Eastern trip, at the conclusion of which they will live in New Castle. Mrs. STARKEY is a graduate of Pennsylvania College for Women.

The wedding of Miss Marie Renetta RODGERS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles RODGERS, Sr., of Laurel hill, to Warren George STATLER, son of George STATLER of Johnstown, was solemnized at eight-thirty o'clock Wednesdary morning, November 23, 1921, in St. Alphonsus' church, McDonald, before a nuptial mass, the Rev. Joseph A. BURGOON officiating. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Miss Margaret DAUGHERTY and brother, James DAUGHERTY, of Carnegie, cousins of the bride, were the only attendants. The bride wore a brown traveling suit trimmed in beaver cloth with a hat to match and carried a shower bouquet of bride's roses. The bridesmaid wore a gray traveling suit trimmed in squirrel with a hat to match and carried a shower bouquet of sweetheart roses. A wedding breakfast at the home of the bride supplemented the ceremony, after which Mr. and Mrs. STATLER left for Johnstown, New York City and other Eastern points. On their return they will reside in Carnegie, where Mr. STATLER is employed.

Ralph L. STAUFFER, who has been employed at Lock No. 4, and Miss Tacey L. AUCKERMAN of Cadiz, Ohio, were united in marriage at the bride's home on Thursday, September 24. The ceremony was performed by the bride's uncle, Rev. Mr. AUCKERMAN. The newly married couple came to McDonald for a short visit with Mr. STAUFFER's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry STAUFFER of the Gladden farm. On Thursday of last week they left for a trip through Michigan and around the Great Lakes. They will take up their residence at Battle Creek, Mich.

STAVING - SCHIEFELBEIN

Miss Amelia SCHIEFELBEIN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William F. SCHIEFELBEIN of R.D. 2, Coraopolis, and Arthur STAVING, son of Mrs. Stella STAVING of Fair Oaks, Pa., were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 1940, in the home of the bride's parents. The Rev. C. E. DAVISON performed the ceremony before the arbor of red and pink roses. The bride wore a white net gown. 

A reception was held in the evening in the SCHIEFELBEIN home. Mr. and Mrs. STAVING left on a northern trip through New York and upon their return will reside in Fair Oaks.
