SMITH - PINKERTON

At the home of the bride's father, Mr. Hunter PINKERTON, near Primrose, on Thursday evening, by Rev. Dr. CATHCART, Mr. James A. SMITH and Miss Jennie PINKERTON.

Mr. SMITH is a well known instructor, having been principal of the McDonald schools for two years, and is now principal of the Noblestown schools. The bride is a teacher also in the McDonald and other schools. Mr. and Mrs. SMITH will make their home in McDonald. Mr. M. D. GIFFIN was grooms- man and and Miss Gertie PINKERTON bridesmaid.

Miss Mary Elizabeth MANDALE, daughter of William MANDALE of Valley street and James C. SMITH of Burgettstown were married at 9:35 o'clock Monday morning, June 23, 1924, in the parsonage of the First Presbyterian church of DuBois, Pa., the Rev. I. V. BELL, D. D., officiating. The bride wore a dark blue traveling suit with a pink stripe, and a tan hat and tan neckpiece. She wore a corsage bouquet of bride's roses showered with lilies of the valley. Mrs. Perry BETTLE of Burgettstown, a sister of the bridegroom, was bridesmaid. Perry BETTLE served as best man. The bridal party left McDonald at six-thirty o'clock Sunday morning and motored to
DuBois. Mr. and Mrs. SMITH left on a motor trip to Niagara Falls, Buffalo, N. Y., and the Great Lakes and upon their return will reside in Burgettstown, where Mr. SMITH conducts a restaurant. The bride was employed as pay roll clerk in the McDonald office of the Pittsburgh Coal Co.

Miss Mary NOBLE and James SMITH were married Tuesday evening at the home of the bride by the Rev. E. V. SHOTWELL. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Mary NOBLE and the groom is a son of James SMITH of the Smith Hotel at Burgettstown. Mr. SMITH is employed at the American Zinc and Chemical Works. They will reside at Burgettstown.
