Miss Margaret JBLUMSKY, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John JBLUMSKY of Hookstown, and Earl A. SMITH, also of Hookstown, were united in marriage at 8:30 o'clock Saturday evening, July 31, 1937, in the McDonald M.E. parsonage, the Rev. Loyola C. MATTHEWS, pastor, officiating. They were attended by the bride's sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. LESCALLETTE of Oakdale. Mr. SMITH is employed by the U.s. Government, Department of Forests and Waters. The young couple will reside in Hookstown.

On Wednesday, February 18, [1914] at the home of D. W. SMITH at Bulger [Pa], occurred the marriage of his daughter, Agnes Jane [SMITH], to Earl Brownlee SMILEY, son of Mr. and Mrs. John SMILEY of Burgettstown [Pa].  The ring ceremony was performed in the presence of about fifty guests by the groom's brother-in-law, the Rev. Robert GALBREATH of Woodlawn [Pa.], assisted by the Rev. Dr. Brownlee SMILEY of Gayley [Pa?], formerly pastor at Canonsburg, and the Rev. J. G. REANEY, the bride's pastor.  At 2:15 o'clock, to the strains of Lohengrin's wedding march played by Miss Margaret BAMFORD, the bridal party entered the parlor.  The bride wore a beautiful gown of white charmeuse, trimmed in real lace, and carried a shower bouquet of pink roses.  The maid of honor, Miss Elsie SMITH, a sister of the bride, wore a gown of pink crepe de chine, trimmed in marabou and carried a bouquet of pink roses. The groom was attended by his brother Charles [SMILEY].  Little Bertha DICKSON, a niece of the bride, was flower girl and carried a basket of pink and white sweet peas.  The house was beautifully decorated with smilax, pink and white roses and carnations.  The bride was the recipient of many beautiful and useful gifts comprising cut glass and $85 in gold.  Miss SMILEY is a graduate of the music department of Grove City College, Class '09 [1909].  The groom also attended Grove City College. The young couple left on the five [#5 ? or 5 o'clock ?] train for a two-weeks trip in the East.

Miss Virginia DARRAS of Bulger and Mr. Enof SMITH of Wilkes-Barre were united in marriage on Thanksgiving day in St. Ann's church, Bulger, by the Rev. Fr. ROACH. After a wedding dinner the young couple left on an Eastern trip. The bride is a well-known Bulger girl, having lived here until three years ago, when the family moved to Burgettstown, moving back here last July. The bridegroom served under the State Constabulary and received his honorable discharge in June. Their many friends wish them much happiness in married life.

On Tuesday morning at 8:30 at St. Alphonsus Church Mr. Frank P. SMITH and Miss Teresa L. BURGOON of Latrobe were united in marriage by the bride's brother, the Rev. Joseph A. BURGOON. Immediately after the marriage ceremony a Solemn High nuptial mass was sung with Father BURGOON as celebrant, assisted by Father McGINGLES of the Epiphany Church, Pittsburg, as deacon and Rev. Father D. J. COX of Noblestown as sub deacon. Only the immediate families of the contracting parties were in attendance. Mr. Philip McHUGH, a cousin of the bride, of Altoona, and Miss Margaret SMITH, a sister of the groom, of Latrobe, were the attendants. After a wedding dinner at the residence of Rev. Joseph A. BURGOON, the young couple left for the East.
