SLOUZEWSKI - DIAMOND.
Mrs. Josephine DIAMOND, daughter of Mrs. Frank PLUMERET of R. D. 1, McDonald, and Thaddeus SLOUZEWSKI of Summet, N. J., were quietly married July 18, 1946, in the home of the bride's mother. The Rev. S. A. McCOLLAM, pastor of the First United Presbyterian church, McDonald, performed the double ring ceremony. The only attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Frank PLUMERET. Following the ceremony, a wedding supper was served in the Roosevelt hotel, Pittsburgh. After a brief wedding trip, the couple will make their home in Summit, N.J. Guests at the wedding were Mrs. Elmer GRIMES, Mrs. William SHEPPARD, Mrs. Alfonse VANGYSEL, Mrs. Mary DESCAMP, Mrs. Irene DEPASSE, and Mrs. Dallas
WACKER.

SLOVICK - TOREK
Before an altar beautifully decorated with ferns and flowers, Miss Adeline TOREK, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James TOREK of Sturgeon, and Anthony SLOVICK, son of Mr. and Mrs. John SLOVICK, Sr., also of Sturgeon, were united in marriage at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, August 29, 1946, in St. Patrick's church, Noblestown. The Rev. Fr. FLAHERTY performed the double-ring ceremony. The bridegroom's nephew, Frank SLOVICK, Jr., of Noblestown, sang with the choir during the nuptial mass. Mr. HEBROSKI of Oakdale, the organist, played "Ave Maria" during the mass.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of ivory satin with taffeta leaves embossed on it and a small train. Her finger-tip veil was held at the crown with a band of seed pearls and orange blossoms. Her bouquet was white lilies and she wore a pearl necklace which was a gift from the bridegroom. The bride's sister, Miss Frances TOREK, was maid of honor and she wore a blue net gown. The bridegroom's sister, Miss Jennie SLOVICK, was bridesmaid and wore a pink net gown. Both carried colonial bouquets. Thomas ZAFEYA of Noblestown served as bestman and Frank PIERON, brother of the bride, served as usher.
Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served in the home
[Continued on page five] of the bride's parents. Covers were laid for 50 guests with 20 seated at the bride's table. A three-tier wedding cake and cut flowers were used as the centerpiece. A reception was held that evening in the Eagles hall, Sturgeon, with about 200 in attendance.
The bride was employed by the National Dairy council of Pittsburgh and Mr. SLOVICK has been employed in the Jones & Laughlin mill in Alliquippa since his return from the service. They will make their home with the bride's parents at present.

SMALL - GALLAGHER
Miss Dorothy GALLAGHER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley G. GALLAGHER of Burgettstown, and Paul SMALL, son of Mr. and Mrs. James SMALL of Canonsburg were united in marriage at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon, October 11, 1947, in the manse of the First United Presbyterian church, McDonald, Rev. S. A.
McCOLLAM, D. D., officiated at the single ring ceremony.
The bride wore a blue gabardine suit with brown accessories and a red rose corsage. Her attendant, Miss Elizabeth GIAMMARCO of Canonsburg, wore a wine suit with black accessories and a yellow rose corsage. Isaac PAVICK of Canonsburg was
bestman.
The couple was honored at a dinner in the GALLAGHER home for the immediate families after the ceremony. They spent the weekend at the Summit Hotel near Uniontown, and are at home in Canonsburg where Mr. SMALL is employed at the pottery.
The bride is a granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. R. A. PEACOCK of McDonald.
The bridegroom is a veteran of World War II, having served in the U. S. Navy in the Pacific.

BOKULICH - SMIAROWSKI
[ SMIAROWSKI is the Groom. ]
Miss Frances BOKULICH, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John BOKULICH of Midway, and Stanley SMIAROWSKI, son of Mrs. BUDASZ of McDonald, were united in marriage at 9:00 a. m. Saturday, August 31, 1946 in St. Alphonsus' church, McDonald by the Rev. Father J. A. BURGOON. The bride wore a gown of white net and carried a bouquet of cala lilies. The maid of honor, Miss Steffanna FEMOVICH, wore a gown of aqua net. Miss Rose BOKULICH, sister of the bride, wore a gown of pink net. Both attendants carried a bouquet of red roses. Anthony KOTFIS of McDonald served as bestman, and the usher was Andrew BUDASZ, also of McDonald. A reception for 200 guests was held in the home of the bride. The bride's table was centered with a three-tiered wedding cake and gladioli.
The bride is a graduate of Midway high school and is employed at the A. & P. Super-Market, McDonald. Mr. SMIAROWSKI was recently discharged from the service and is employed by the Duquesne Pattern & Bronze Co., McDonald. The young couple left for a trip to Cleveland and Chicago.
