SCOTT - ROSA
Miss Mary ROSA, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph ROSA of Syracuse, N.Y., and Cpl. Arthur A. SCOTT, stationed in New York, son of Joseph M. SCOTT of McDonald
and the late Belle SCOTT, were united in marriage at ten o'clock Wednesday, January 5, 1944, in Our Lady of Pompeii church, the Rev. Francis
FURFARO officiating.
The bride wore a gown of ivory satin and a veil with orange blossoms. She carried a mother-of-pearl prayer book with orchids and babies-breath. The maid of honor,
Miss Nancy ROBERTSON, wore yellow satin with matching crown. She carried yellow roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Felice COSTANTINI, wore poudre blue with matching crown.
She carried talisman roses. Peter V. TENENINI served as bestman and Louis G. ROSA was the usher. The bride's mother wore blue and carried a bouquet of white roses.
A reception was held in the ROSA home, after which the young couple left for a honeymoon. For her trip, the bride wore a black costume and had an orchid
bouquet. She will reside with her parents until her husband returns from the service.

SCOTT - CROWE
Miss Wilma E. CROWE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. C. CROWE of Barr street, and Earl R. SCOTT, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. SCOTT, also of Barr street, were united in marriage Wednesday, April 21, 1937, in the McDonald Methodist parsonage, the pastor, the Rev. L. C. MATTHEWS officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Robert G. McCARTY were the attendants. Following the ceremony, dinner was served to the immediate families in the home of the bride's parents. Covers were laid for twelve with a large wedding cake as the centerpiece. The young couple will reside at 214 Barr street.

Wedding Nuptials
SCOTT - BURTNER
The wedding of Fred SCOTT, of this place, to Miss Josephine BURTNER,
of Oakdale, was solemnized at high noon Thursday at the home of the
grand- parents of the bride at Saxonburg, Pa. The bride was given
away by her father, Henry BURTNER. Saul SHAKELY was best man and
Miss Retta BURTNER, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. An
elaborate wedding breakfast was served, after which the bride and groom
departed on an extensive wedding tour of the Eastern cities. On
their return they will take up residence in Oakdale until the completion
of their fine new residence on Station street, McDonald.

SCOTT - SPEICHER
Miss Blanche SPEICHER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Park SPEICHER of Somerset, and
James SCOTT, son of Lee R. SCOTT of R. D. 3, Burgettstown, were married Wednesday, June 21, 1939, in the home of the bride's parents.
The bride wore cornflower blue marquisette and lace with a bridal wreath of orange blossoms in her hair. She also wore a gold necklace worn
by an aunt a half century ago. She carried an arm bouquet of white roses,
snapdragons, larkspur, and babybreath, with trailing white ribbons. The
bridesmaid, Miss Elizabeth SCOTT of Burgettstown, sister of the bridegroom, wore dusty pink marquisette with lace medallions and carried
an arm bouquet of roses and delphinium. Miss Ruth SNOWBERGER of New Enterprise
sang "O Promise Me" and "Always." A luncheon followed the ceremony. Mrs. SCOTT
is a graduate of Juniata college and has been home economics instructor the past
two years in Union high school. Mr. SCOTT is a graduate of Pennsylvania
State college. The young couple left on a trip to Niagara Falls
and Canada and upon their return will reside at the Scottshill farm, near Burgettstown.
