Miss Helen Wilda BOA, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James BOA of Rennerdale and Cpl. Arthur James RUSS, stationed at Scott field, Ill., son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. RUSS of Hastings avenue, Oakdale were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. Monday, January 3, 1944, in the First Presbyterian church, Oakdale. The Rev. James B. ORTH, pastor of the Houston United Presbyterian church, assisted by the Rev. H. Carlyle CARSON, pastor of the Oakdale Presbyterian church, performed the double ring ceremony before an altar embanked with ferns and palms.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore ivory satin and net with a fingertip length veil falling from a juliet cap of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of calla lilies. The matron of honor, Mrs. Louis WALLACE, sister of the bride, wore a gown of aqua satin and chiffon. She carried a bouquet of bronze roses. The maid of honor, Miss Shirley DELANTER, wore a gown of blue satin and chiffon. She carried a bouquet of pink roses. The bridesmaids, Miss Katherine SMUALL and Miss Edith BUCHANAN, wore similar gowns of shell pink satin and chiffon and carried red roses. The flower girl, Carol Ann WALKER, niece of the bride, wore a gown of ivory satin and net with matching bonnet. She carried a colonial bouquet. Navy Lt. James HEZLEP, a cousin of the bridegroom, served as bestman and the ushers were James STURGEON, Louis C. WALLACE, and Christian C. WALKER. Miss Barbara Lee POLLOCK of Oakdale played the wedding music and Miss Marguerite LANG sang.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Christian WALKER, at Rennerdale.

The young couple spent their honeymoon in Cleveland, Ohio. Corporal RUSS has returned to Scott field, Ill. Mrs. RUSS resides with her parents at Rennerdale.
