Rev. Herman HAILPERIUM officiated Sunday evening, February 8th at 6:30 o'clock at the marriage of Miss Frances BROIDA, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. R. BROIDA of Station street, McDonald to Mr. Joseph ROTHFIELD of Chicago which took place in the Blue room of the William Penn Hotel, Pittsburgh.  Preceding the ceremony Miss Isabelle DAVIS of Pittsburgh sang "Oh Promise Me." The ceremony was performed before an enbankment of palms, ferns and cibodiums. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white satin with a tunic of crepe romaine encrusted with pearls and crystal beads and veil was held in place by a hat of dutchess lace and orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of sweet peas, bride's roses and lilies of the valley. Miss Ray ROTHFIELD, sister of the groom, was honor maid, and wore a dress of flesh tinted chiffon and carried Ophelia roses. Mrs. Morris SIMON, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and her gown was of crystal beaded crepe and she carried red roses. The bridesmaids were Miss Ella KOPELMAN of Vandergrift, Miss Jean HIRSH of Carnegie and Miss Madeline BROIDA of McDonald, a sister of the bride. Little Bobby COHEN of Butler, Pa. acted as ring bearer. J. S. BOSENBLATT of Chicago was best man. The ushers were Jack ROTHFIELD of Chicago, Milton GROFFAN of Cleveland, Henry NEWMAN of Pittsburgh and Morris SIMON of McDonald. A wedding dinner supplemented the ceremony. Covers were laid for 35.  Mr. and Mrs. ROTHFIELD left for a southern trip and will be at home in Chicago after March 15th.

Miss Dorothy SCHOELK, daughter of Mrs. Louise SCHOELK of R. D. 3, McDonald, and the late Paul SCHOELK, and John Henry ROTHS, son of Mr. and Mrs. August ROTHS of Library Road, Pittsburgh, were united in marriage at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 11, 1947, in the First United Presbyterian church, McDonald. The pastor, the Rev. S. A. MCCOLLAM, D.D., performed the double ring ceremony before an embankment of ferns and palms.

The bride, given in marriage by her brother, William SCHOELK, wore an ivory satin gown with fitted bodice, long sleeves pointed overhand, and bouffant net floor-length skirt. Her fingertip veil fell from a coronet of orange blossoms and she carried an arm bouquet of white roses and babies'-breath and white satin streamers. For something old, the bride carried a lace handkerchief, which was carried by her mother at her wedding, and for something borrowed she wore a strand of pearls belonging to Mrs. Rose MAHALCHAK of McDonald. For her going away outfit, the bride chose a pastel blue suit with white accessories.

The matron of honor, Mrs. Calvin FULMER of Oakdale, wore a pink shadow organdie gown with matching headdress and she carried a bouquet of pink roses and blue streamers. Paul ROTHS of Pittsburgh, brother of the bridegroom, served as bestman and Edward ROTHS of Pittsburgh, another brother of the bridegroom, and Calvin FULMER of Oakdale were ushers. The bride's mother wore a light blue print dress with black and white accessories and the bridegroom's mother wore a pink dress with white accessories. They each wore a corsage of pink roses.

Preceding the ceremony, the church organist, Mrs. Louis LAVIE, played the traditional wedding music and Miss Geraldine CHARLIER sang "Because" and "Always."

Following the ceremony, a reception for fifty guests was held in the home of the bride's mother. A three-tiered wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and groom formed the table centerpiece.

Upon their return from a week's wedding trip to Canada the young couple will make their home with the bride's mother, R.D. 3, McDonald.

The bride is a 1941 graduate of the Cecil high school and is employed at the BIANCHI and CREA garage, McDonald. The bridegroom, a 1938 graduate of the Carrick high school, served four years in the Marine corps, three of which were spent in the Pacific theater.  He is employed by Dick Construction Co., Pittsburgh.

On Thursday afternoon, May 26, 1921, at 4:30 o'clock, Miss Bessie COZAD and Mr. James A. ROTHWELL were united in marriage at the home of the bride's pastor, the Rev. G. S. BROOKS. The ring ceremony was used. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. ROTHWELL left for a wedding trip including Washington, D. C., and other Eastern points. Mrs. ROTHWELL is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles COZAD of Sturgeon and a member of the Robinson's Run U. P. church. She has a host of friends who extend best wishes and congratulations. Mr. ROTHWELL is an employee of the Pennsylvania Lines West and works out of Burgettstown, where the newly wedded couple will make their home.

Miss Estelle JONES, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles JONES of McDonald, and Pvt. Ernest ROTTA of Burgettstown were united in marriage at 7:00 o'clock Friday evening, March 19, 1943, in the home of the officiating minister, the Rev. Philip W. HORNE, pastor of the First Baptist church, Midway.

The bride wore navy blue with matching accessories and a corsage of American beauty roses. The bridesmaid, Mrs. Ellis ANDREWS, sister of the bride, wore a navy blue suit with matching accessories and a corsage of mixed garden flowers. Mr. ANDREWS of Burgettstown served as bestman.

Following the ceremony, a dinner was served in the home of the bride's parents for the immediate family.

Private ROTTA is stationed at Camp Atterbury, Ind.
