REYNOLDS - ALLISON
Helen A. ALLISON, daughter of Mrs. Matilda ALLISON of Hickory, was united in marriage with Roger W.
REYNOLDS of Houston at 7:30 o'clock, Monday evening, February 14, in the Mt. Pleasant United Presbyterian
church, Hickory, the pastor, the Rev. John R. LOUDEN, officiating. Miss Jean MCBRIDE, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. W. A. MCBRIDE of Houston, sang "I Love You Truly" and "The Sweetest Story Ever Told," preceding the
ceremony. Miss Della COLWES, the bride's aunt, accompanied Miss MCBRIDE and also played the bridal music. The bride was given in marriage by her uncle,
B. H. COLWES. She wore a gown of white taffeta made in the Colonial style, with a sweetheart neckline and short
puffed sleeves. The dress was cut on princess lines in the front and full in the back to form a graceful,
sweeping skirt. Small clusters of old-fashioned flowers were fastened on the sleeves and neck of the dress. Her
three-quarter length tulle veil fell from a crownless taffeta bonnet made in the Colonial style. She carried
a heart-shaped bouquet of American Beauty and white rosebuds. Her only attendant, Mrs. Daniel DAVIS, wore
a powder-blue taffeta gown, designed in the same lines as the bride's. She carried a Colonial bouquet of old-fashioned flowers. The bride's mother, Mrs. Matilda ALLISON, wore an Eleanor-blue chiffon gown and a corsage
of Talisman roses. Mrs. S.C. Reynolds, mother of the bridegroom, wore midnight-blue chiffon with a white floral design, and a corsage of American Beauty roses.
Daniel DAVIS was best man, and ushers were Charles REYNOLDS of Houston and Jay ALLISON of Hickory. Both
Mr. and Mrs. REYNOLDS are graduates of Hickory high school and Mrs. REYNOLDS is also a graduate of Wooster
college, Wooster, Ohio. Following the ceremony, they left by automobile for a short wedding trip. Upon their
return, they will reside in Houston.

Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss Bernice Winifred KIGHTLINGER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert KIGHTLINGER of Oakdale, Pa., to Samuel Willerton REYNOLDS, son of Mrs. Catherine REYNOLDS, Bon Air, Pittsburgh, which took place Monday, July 9, 1923 in the First Presbyterian church, Pittsburgh, Pa. Rev. JONES officiated. The bride wore a gown of brown canton crepe with hat to match. Mrs. J. E. BOSS, as matron of honor, a sister, of the bride, wore a gown of pale blue canton crepe. Mr. J. E. BOSS served as Mr. REYNOLDS"s best man. A wedding breakfast at the NEGRIS home followed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. REYNOLDS left for a two weeks trip to Niagara Falls, Toronto and other points in Canada. On their return they will reside at Bon Air, Pittsburgh. The groom is a graduate of Pitt university in dentistry.

The marriage of Miss Valerie Elizabeth VOYE and Mr. Thomas A. REYNOLDS was solemnized at St. Alphonsus church on Wednesday morning, August 23, with a high nuptial mass, Rev. Father J. A. BURGOON, celebrant. The bridal pair entered the church and proceeded up the aisle to the altar to the strains of the march from Lohengrin, played by a selected orchestra. They were preceded by little Miss VALENTOUR, robed in white as flower girl, and Master Richard THOMAS, also in white, as page. The bride's attendants were the Misses REYNOLDS and Miss Mae BEATTY, Messrs. Louis VOYE, John BURKE and John MYERS attended the groom. The bridal costume was a beautiful gown of white Brussels net, made over white silk, with a veil of white net caught up with bride's roses. Two of the bridesmaids wore gowns of mousseline, while the third wore a pink gown of the same material. At the conclusion of the ceremony a reception was tendered Mr. and Mrs. REYNOLDS at the home of the parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph VOYE, Sr., East Lincoln avenue. About forty guests sat down to the wedding breakfast which was served in the spacious dining room that was tastefully decorated in white and pink. The decorations at the church consisted largely of palms and hydrangias. The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. REYNOLDS sent them a profusion of beautiful presents. The gift of the groom to the bride was a diamond ring and brooch.
Mr. and Mrs. REYNOLDS left on the Scio for the East the same evening and were escorted as far as Pittsburg by a host of friends.
