Mr. and Mrs. James LAWSON of Burgettstown announce the marriage of their daughter Gladyce [LAWSON] to Robert RANSOM, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert RANSOM. The wedding took place in Washington on March 8, 1932. Mrs. RANSOM is a student in Union high school. Mr. RANSOM attended school in Oklahoma. The young couple is residing in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mark CLEEK.

Webster Hall Hotel, Pittsburgh, was the scene of the marriage of Miss Mary Louise THOMASSY, daughter of Mrs. Marie E. THOMASSY and the late Fernand A. THOMASSY of McDonald, to Mr. Alured Chaffey RANSOM of McDonald, which took place at 10 o'clock Monday morning, July 5, 1937, with the Rev. H.C. EMERICK officiating. 

The bride wore a street ensemble of blue, with matching accessories, and an orchid corsage. 

Miss Anne MCDONALD of McDonald, her only attendant, wore beige lace. She also wore a corsage of orchids.

Mr. James C. DUNN of Prosperity and McDonald was best man. 

Following a breakfast for members of the wedding party in the patio of Webster Hall, Mr. and Mrs. RANSOM left for a Southern motor trip, after which they will be at home in Beaver Falls.

The bride attended Carnegie Institute of Technology and is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. Mr. RANSOM is a graduate of Geneva college, where he and the officiating minister were classmates and teammates on the football and the basketball teams.

Mr. RANSOM resigned his position in the McDonald high school last month, after serving as high school teacher and football and basketball coach, to become athletic director of the Beaver Falls high school.

D. 1, Imperial, were united in marriage July 2, 1947, in the St. Peter and Paul's church, Cumberland, Md. The Rev. Fr. Noel performed the double ring ceremony. The bride is an employee of the Pittsburgh Coal Co., Library, and the bridegroom of the Homestead Valve Co., Coraopolis.

Miss Martha CHEESEBROUGH, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. CHEESEBROUGH of Avella, and Madison REASON, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. REASON, of Langeloth, were united in marriage Saturday, April 3, 1937, at 6 a.m. in the manse of the First Presbyterian church of Avella by the Rev. N.E. Koehler, Jr. The bride was attired in a gray tailored suit with accessories to match and wore a corsage of white roses. Miss Geraldine KING of Burgettstown, who wore a brown suit and a corsage of red roses, was bridesmaid. The bestman was Jesse T. DAVIS of Langeloth. Immediately after the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. CHEESEBROUGH.

The bride chose April 3d as her marriage day because it was the 48th wedding anniversary of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. CHEESEBROUGH. Mrs. REASON is a graduate of Avella high school. Mr. REASON is employed as a chemist at Langeloth, where the young couple will make their home.
