RANKIN - CHARLIER

Miss Mary E. Charlier, daughter of the Lloyd A. Charliers of Ingram, and Pvt. H. LeRoy Rankin, son of the W. H. Rankins of Prospect Park, were married Friday, April 21, 1944, in the Charlier home. The Rev. C. C. Cribbs performed the double ring ceremony, assisted by the Rev. Karl W. Bowman, pastor of the Ingram Presbyterian church.

The bride wore a white marquisette gown over taffeta with a shoulder length tulle veil. She carried a prayerbook with an orchid marker. Her only attendant was her sister, Miss Martha Ann Charlier, who wore blue marquisette and carried yellow roses and daffodils. W. H. Rankin served as bestman for his son.

Following the reception, the young couple left for New York. Mrs. Rankin is a granddaughter of Fred Charlier of Pittsburgh, a former McDonald merchant.

RANKIN - DICKSON

Miss Anna M. DICKSON of West Jefferson and J. Wallace RANKIN of Rockdale, Butler County, were united in marriage by the Rev. Mr. HUTCHISON, on Wednesday, June 19, 1912, at 11:30 o'clock. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. A. DICKSON of West Jefferson, formerly of Bulger. The groom is a well known school teacher. Miss Etta DICKSON, sister of the bride, was the only attendant. They will go to housekeeping at Rockdale.

RANKIN - STRAIN

Thomas RANKIN of Venice and Miss Della STRAIN of Primrose were united in marriage Tuesday, June 28, 1932. They will make their home with the former's grandparents Mr. and Mrs. A. B. SOLINGER in Venice.

IRWIN - RANKIN

The marriage of Miss Mary Frances IRWIN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. IRWIN of Evans City, and William Clark RANKIN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Riddile S. RANKIN of Hickory, took place at four o'clock Friday afternoon, June 18, 1926, in the home of the bride's parents. Only the immediate families were present. The bridal party entered the parlor to the strains of the wedding march from Lohengrin. The marriage took place before an altar of orange blossoms, white roses and greens, the ring ceremony being used. The bride's gown was of white crepe trimmed with lace. She carried white roses showered with lilies of the valley. Her sister, Miss Anna Belle IRWIN, was maid of honor and wore a bois de rose crepe gown. Miss Mary Belle RANKIN, sister of the bridegroom, was bridesmaid, and wore poudre blue crepe. Both attendants carried arm bouquets of ping roses Joseph PAYNE, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. Dr. K. M. BROMLEY of Hickory was best man. A wedding dinner followed the ceremony, covers for 14 being laid at the bride's table. Mr. and Mrs. RANKIN will reside in Cheswick, where Mr. RANKIN is employed by the Pittsburgh Chemical Lacquer Co.. The bride is a graduate of Grove City college. The bridegroom is a graduate of the engineering department of Penn State.
