PURDY - HAMILTON
Miss Louise E. HAMILTON, daughter of Robert E. Hamliton [sic] of Clinton, and David M. PURDY, son of Walter W. PURDY, also of Clinton, were united in marriage at 7:30 o'clock Thursday evening, June 20, 1946, in the home of the bride. The Rev. Hugh MARSH, pastor of the Clinton, U. P. church, performed the ceremony by candlelight before an altar of ferns and flowers in the presence of the immediate families and close friends.
Mrs. Wilson HAMILTON played the wedding music and was accompanist for Mrs. Hugh MARSH, who sang "Because" and "I Love You Truly."
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a wedding gown of white marquisette and shoulder-length veil to match. She carried an arm bouquet of white roses and babies' breath. She was attended by her sister, Miss Helen HAMILTON, who wore aqua marquisette and carried red roses. Thomas PURDY, brother of the bridegroom, served as
bestman.
After a short wedding trip the young couple will be at home in their new home in Clinton.
Mrs. PURDY was a teacher in the Clinton first grade for several years. Mr. PURDY is manager of the Eastern States Exchange in Imperial.

PURDY - RAESINGER
Miss Sarah V. Raesinger of Brookville and Harold W. Purdy, son of Walter Purdy of Clinton, were united in marriage at ten o'clock Saturday, October 14, 1939, in the Brookville Lutheran church, the Rev. Samuel Neal performing the double ring ceremony.
The bride was gowned in teal blue. The maid of honor, Miss Gladys Anderson of Vandergrift, wore gold. Thomas Purdy served as his brother's
bestman.
Others who witnessed the ceremony were Walter Purdy and daughters Miss Alice Jane, Miss Lulu, and Mrs. Olive Moore, Mrs. Viola Mc Bride, Mrs. James Purdy, and Mrs. Hugh Barton, daughters Jane and Eleanor, and son William.
Mr. and Mrs. Purdy are both graduates of Muskingum college. Mr. Purdy is employed by the John Miller Coal Co. of Clinton. After a short wedding trip, they will reside in Oakdale.

On Monday evening at 8:30 o'clock at the Presbyterian manse occurred the marriage of Miss Mary McDonald HYSER
to Mr. Hugh PURDY, both of McDonald. Rev. B. B. HARRISON officiated.
They were unattended. Mr. and Mrs. PURDY will reside in the flat over the J. P.
OLDFIELD plumbing establishment.

PURVIS - MANKEDICK.
Miss Mildred MANKEDICK, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward H. MANKEDICK of
Greggs, and James Giffen PURVIS of Butler, were married Friday, October 12, 1934, in the home of the bride's parents.
The Rev. James SPEAR of Oakdale read the service. He was assisted by the Rev. Dr. Calvin REED of Butler. Before the ceremony, the Rev. James BLACKWOOD sang, accompanied by Miss Dorothy WRIGHT, who also played the wedding marches.
The bride wore an ivory velvet gown modeled on princess lines, with long, tight sleeves and a double train. She carried gardenias and lilies of the valley. Miss Jane
MANKEDICK, her sister's attendant, was attired in a fuschia colored velvet gown. Carl SLIER of Butler was best man.
A buffet supper followed the ceremony. After a trip through the Adirondack mountains Mr. and Mrs. PURVIS will be at home at 202 Oak street, Butler. Both are graduates of Westminster college.

[ PUSKAR - SOUFFRANT ]
A prettily arranged wedding took place Tuesday, February 21, at nine
o'clock, when Miss Augusta SOUFFRANT of this place and Mr.
John PUSKAR of Imperial [Pa] were married at high mass in St. Patrick's
Church at Nobelstown [Pa]. The attendants were Miss Pheobe SOUFFRANT, a
sister of the bride, and Charles PUSKAR, a brother of the groom. The
bride was attired in a beautiful gown of white satin and wore a white
satin hat and carried bride roses. The bridesmaid was attired in a gown
of pink satin and wore a black hat and carried pink roses. The wedding
march was rendered by Miss Agnes GRIBBIN. The bride is a daughter of
Mrs. Alexander SOUFFRANT. A wedding dinner was served. The couple left
on the four o'clock train for Cleveland. On their return they will make
their home in Coraopolis, where Mr. PUSKAR is employed.

PUSKAR - THOMPSON
A pretty wedding took place at 10:30 o'clock Monday morning, June 26, 1939, in St. Mary's church, Parker's Landing, when Miss Helen THOMPSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy THOMPSON, became the bride of John D. PUSKAR of Imperial. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father O'REILLY. The church altars were beautifully decorated with white lilies and roses.
The bride was attired in white organza with veil and carried white roses and
babybreath. The maid of honor, Miss Marjorie PUSKAR of Imperial, sister of the bridegroom, wore a tea rose dress with a large picture hat and carried tea roses and blue larkspur. Mr. Paul THOMPSON, brother of the bride, served as
bestman.
After the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served on the lawn of the bride's home to about forty relatives and friends, after which the young couple left on an Eastern trip. Upon their return they will reside in their newly erected home in Imperial.
Mrs. PUSKAR is a graduate of Indiana State Teachers' college and was Home Economics teacher in the Findlay Vocational school, Imperial, the past two years. Her husband is a graduate of Findlay high school and operates a store in Imperial.
Those from Imperial who attended the wedding besides the immediate relatives were Mr. and Mrs. J. Scott LOGAN, Mr. and Mrs. John PASCOE, Miss Edna MARSHALL, Mr. and Mrs. MICHAEL ROCHE, Miss Elizabeth STEWART, Mr. and Mrs. ALLISON, Miss Viola TAYLOR, Miss Mary SCOTT, Miss Helen LANDIS, and James
BARTOS.

KUPIEC officiating. The bride was gowned in white satin with a long veil and a crown of pearls. She carried white roses and lilies with long streamers. The matron of honor, Mrs. Adam
KELLEY, was gowned in wine velvet with matching hat. The bridesmaids, Miss Helen
PODLINSKY, Miss Sylvia ERGEN, Miss Margaret KELLEY, and Miss Dorothy
SAUERS of Imperial, and Miss Martha SUNDUSKY of Pittsburgh, wore taffeta gowns of peach, American beauty, acqua blue, and light green and carried roses to match their gowns. Mr. Michael
SEDLOCK of Imperial served as bestman. The ushers were Mr. Joseph MAGA, Mr. Stanley
LORENZ, Mr. Charles PUSKAR, Mr. Herbert SAUERS, and Mr. Joseph KELLEY, all of Imperial. A reception followed in the
SAUERS hall. There were over one hundred guests with fourteen seated at the bride's table. Mr. and Mrs.
PUSKAR will reside in Imperial.
