Miss Bertha HENIGMAN, daughter of Mrs. Frances HENIGMAN of Bridgeville, and Cpl. Edward J. POVIRK, stationed with the Army air corps at St. Petersburg, Fla., son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew POVIRK, Sr., of West Newton, and brother of Mrs. Charles A. BOUCHY of Cecil, were united in marriage Tuesday, May 11, 1943, in St. Mary's church, Cecil, by the Rev. Father Leo A. PASTORIOUS. The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Charles BOUCHY. Mr. POVIRK was formerly employed at the Clover Farm store in Cecil.

Miss Blanche Jennie TONESI, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank TONESI of R.D. 4, McDonald, and Albert Henry POWELSON, son of Mr. and Mrs. George POWELSON of Midway, were united in marriage at five o'clock Saturday afternoon, November 18, 1939, in the parsonage of the Methodist church, Midway, the Rev. Henry F. POLLOCK officiating. The ring ceremony was used.

The bride wore blue velvet with black accessories and her corsage was of pink and white chrysanthemums and snapdragons. Her only attendant was her sister, Miss Frances TONESI, who wore a dress of rosebury wool with black accessories and a corsage of assorted fall flowers. Mr. Roy CLARK of Midway served as bestman.

Following the ceremony, a wedding dinner was served in the TONESI home. Covers were laid for fourteen at the bride's table. Pink and yellow mums formed the centerpiece and pink candles were used at each end. After the dinner, a reception was held with seventy-five in attendance from Langcloth, Burgettstown, Cherry Valley, Midway, Washington, Bridgeville, McDonald, Bulger, Treveskyn, Pittsburgh, Avalon, McDonald R.D., and Tiltonsville, Ohio. Mr. and Mrs. POWELSON will reside in the Brady Ahrns home, Hickory.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Baron of Terrace street, McDonald, announce the marriage of their daughter Miss Stella Rosalie to Cpl. Andrew POWLIKOSKI of R.D. 1, McDonald, stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo. The couple were united in marriage at nine o'clock Saturday morning, June 5, 1943, in St. Ann's church, Bulger, by the Rev. Fr. John ROBACZEWSKI.

The bride wore aquamarine with navy blue accessories and a corsage of white lilies and talisman roses. Her only attendant was her sister, Miss Virginia, who wore tan with red and white accessories and a corsage of red rosebuds. The bridegroom's attendant was his brother, George POWLIKOSKI (PAVLIC).

A reception and dinner for the immediate families was held in the home of the bride's mother, who was assisted by Mrs. John BURDA of McDonald, and Mrs. Julia ZIELINSKI of Carnegie. A large patriotic cake formed the table centerpiece.

The bride, a 1937 graduate of McDonald high school and Penn Commercial college, Washington, was employed as a stenographer by the Fisher Scientific Co., Pittsburgh, before marriage.

The couple left Sunday evening for Missouri and will reside at present in the vicinity of Ft. Leonard Wood.

Announcement is made of the marriage of Miss Margaret BROUTEN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor BROUTEN of Morgan, and George PREAUX, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jules PREAUX of Cecil. The wedding took place Saturday, October 25, [1947], in the Gladden U. P. church, Gladden. 

The bride wore a white satin gown with sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice with bustle effect and full skirt. Her fingertip veil cascaded from a tiara of orange blossoms and she carried a bouquet of white roses and pompoms.

Lois WEIS, maid of honor, wore a rose colored gown with headdress of rose feathers and her bouquet was of yellow chrysanthemums. 

Delores McTEAGUE, bridesmaid, wore an aqua gown with matching headdress of feathers and carried yellow chrysanthemums. 

Victor BROUTEN, brother of the bride, served as bestman, and Robert PREAUX, cousin of the bridegroom, ushered. 

Both mothers wore black street length dresses, on having a corsage of yellow roses and the other of red roses. 

The bride was graduated from the South Fayette high school, class of 1947, and the bridegroom attended Cecil high school and served three years in the army. 

The couple took a short honeymoon to New York City, and are now at home with the bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jules PREAUX.

Miss Freda LAH, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John LAH of Cliff Mine, and Rudolph PREGEL, son of Mrs. Mary AHLBORN of R. D. 1, Oakdale, were united in marriage at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 1946, in St. Columbkille's church, Imperial. The Rev. Fr. L. R. KOLAKOWSKI performed the ceremony.

The bride wore a gown with a lace bodice and net skirt. Her fingertip veil cascaded from a tiara of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of white miniature bridal lilies. The maid of honor, Miss Anna USENICNIK of Cliff Mine, wore a pink gown with matching headdress and carried a bouquet of red roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Mary DOLINAR, also of Cliff Mine, wore a blue gown and a matching headdress and carried yellow roses. Both dresses were made similar to that of the bride's. Rudolph USENICNIK of Cliff Mine served as bestman and William TRUSNOVIC of Imperial was the usher.

Following the ceremony, a dinner for the immediate families was served in the home of the bride.

Following a brief honeymoon, the young couple will reside in Cliff Mine. 

The bride is a graduate of North Fayette township school and the bridegroom is a graduate of Findlay township school.
