Miss Cora B. ENGLAND and Mrs. Charles H. PORTER, both of McDonald, were united in marriage Wednesday morning, June 19th, at ten-thirty o'clock at the Presbyterian parsonage, by the Rev. J. P. JORDAN, D. D. Mr. and Mrs. PORTER will reside in Station Street.

PORTER - JAMISON
Miss Irene Mae JAMISON, daughter of Mrs. John J. JAMISON of R. D. 2, McDonald, and Clair S. PORTER, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John S. PORTER, were united in marriage at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 1947, in the Noblestown U. P. church. The Rev. R. L. LANNING, D.D., performed the single ring candlelight. Wedding music was ceremony by candlelight. Wedding music was played by Mrs. F. W. KEENAN.
The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Wilson JAMISON, wore a ice blue street length dress with luggage brown accessories and a corsage of white pompoms. The maid of honor, Miss Mary Thelma JAMISON, sister of the bride, wore an aqua dress with brown accessories and a corsage
of yellow pompoms. James PORTER, brother of the bridegroom, served as bestman, and James PORTER, nephew of the bridegroom, and John F. JAMISON, brother of the bride, were ushers. The bride's mother wore an aqua dress with black accessories and a corsage of pink pompoms.
Following the ceremony a reception for 45 guests was held in the home of the bride's mother. A three-tiered wedding cake formed the table
centerpiece. The young couple will make their home on R. D. 2, McDonald.
Mrs. PORTER, a 1927 graduate of McDonald high school, has been employed at Woodville. Mr. PORTER is superintendent of Robinson's Run cemetery.

[ PORTER - BARNES ]
Miss Anna May BARNES and John Everett PORTER were married Thursday at
high noon, at the home of the bride's father, two miles west of McDonald
[Pa]. The bride wore a white silk gown, and carried white carnations
tied with white ribbon. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. P.
JORDAN in the presence of the two families with a few invited friends.
After the ceremony all repaired [e.g. went to] the dining room where an
elaborate wedding dinner was served. The presents received were useful
and handsome. Mr. and Mrs. PORTER will spend a few weeks in
visiting their friends, after which they will make their home with the
bride's [father?].

The marriage of Miss Ethel S. MARQUIS, daughter or Mrs. Francenia Allen MARQUIS of Crosscreek, to William H. PORTER, son of Mrs.
Elizabeth PORTER, also of Crosscreek, was solemnized on Wednesday evening, April 26, 1922, in the Presbyterian manse, the Rev. D.
Lester SAY officiating. Mr. and Mrs. PORTER left the same evening on an Eastern trip and on their return will be at home in Crosscreek.
Mr. and Mrs. PORTER are well known in McDonald.
