Mr. and Mrs. Frank NATION of Arabella street, McDonald, announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Mary NATION, to Pvt. Charles J. PIERRARD of Buckley field, Denver, Colo., son of Mr. and Mrs. Prosper PIERRARD of Midway.

The couple were united in marriage Saturday, September 5, 1942, in the Christian church, Denver. The bride was attired in an aqua blue suit with a white satin blouse and matching accessories. The couple were attended by Mrs. Thomas HUGH of Toronto, Ohio, and Mr. HUGH of Buckley field.

Mrs. PIERRARD and Mrs. HUGH will reside in Denver until their husbands graduate from the training school at Buckley field.

At the home of Mrs. Marie PIRMEZ at Briar Hill, at ten o'clock Tuesday morning, May 29, 1917, occurred the marriage of her daughter, Florence PIRMEZ to Louis PIERSON, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis PIERSON of Center avenue. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. P. JORDAN. The bride wore a gown of blue taffetas. The couple were attended by Mrs. George YATES, sister of the bride, and Mr. YATES. After the ceremony dinner was served to about eighteen guests.  Mr. and Mrs. PIERSON will reside at Briar Hill. The groom is employed with the masonry crew on the Pennsylvania railroad. In the evening an informal reception was held at the home of the bride's mother.  A delicious lunch was served at about ten o'clock. About one hundred guests were present. Those from out of town were Mrs. Adolphine CATRAIN, grandmother of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. CATRAIN, uncle and aunt, and family of Lovington, Ill., Isadore EGBERT and son Nicholas of Carnegie, Mr. JURETTE and son of Raccoon, and Mr. RIEHL of Corliss.

Miss Ida Ruth RAPP, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. F. RAPP of Gregg, and Leo Wilbert PIETZ, son of Mr. and Mrs. PIETZ of Irwin, were united in marriage at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 8, 1947, in St. Mary of Mercy church, Pittsburgh. Rev. D. A. LAWLESS performed the single ring ceremony by candlelight.

The bride wore a gray wool crepe suit with matching accessories and a corsage of red roses. The matron of honor was Mrs. Ruth PIETZ, who wore a brown dress with matching accessories and a corsage of red roses. Charles PIETZ, brother of the bridegroom, served as bestman.

Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served to thirty guests in the Joseph Horne tea room. Upon their return from a month's trip through the southwestern States, they will make their home in Irwin.

The bridegroom is employed by the Pennsylvania railroad at Pitcairn.
