PIALET - PULVER

Miss Eunice PULVER daughter of Ralph and Mary Troy PULVER of Weirton heights, W.Va., formerly of McDonald, and St. Alfred PIALET of Camp Pickett, Blackstone, Va., son of the August PIALETs of Marland heights, W.Va., were united in marriage Monday, July 27, 1942, at Camp Pickett. The Rev. Mr. Owens performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride wore a street-length blue and white dress with white accessories and a shoulder corsage of roses. The bridesmaid, Mrs. Edward LEWIS of Blackstone, Va., wore a beige crepe dress with red accessories. Corp. Edward LEWIS served as bestman.

A reception was held Saturday evening at Ethel & Jack's on the Steubenville pike. There were about 150 guests. The table centerpiece was a four-tiered wedding cake, a gift from Ethel and Jack. The hall was beautifully decorated in red, white and blue. Music and dancing were the diversions. The young couple received a number of gifts, bonds, and a sum of money.

Mrs. PIALET, a granddaughter of the August TROYs of Weirton, formerly of McDonald, is a graduate of Weirton high school. Before her marriage she was employed in the office of the Weirton Steel mill. Sergeant PIALET, before his induction into the army in July 1941, was employed in the tin mill department of the Weirton Steel Co. The young couple reside in Blackstone, Va.

Miss Vera Marie POUNDS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William POUNDS, of Valley street, and Frindo PIAZZA, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frindo PIAZZA of Noblestown, were united in marriage at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 1937, in the parsonage of the McDonald M.E. church, the Rev. L. C. MATTHEWS officiating. Miss Anna FLOOD of Noblestown was the bridesmaid and Mr. William PIAZZA of Nobelstown [sic] was the bestman. The young couple will reside in Valley street.

PIAZZA - PREVOST

Miss Olive L. PREVOST, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex PREVOST of Primrose [Pa], and Warren P. PIAZZA, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. D. PIAZZA of Noblestown [Pa], were united in marriage at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 1944, in the parsonage of the Center U. P. church [sic], Midway [Pa], by the pastor, the Rev. Alfred Hubbard.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a poudre blue suit with navy and pink accessories and a corsage of white snapdragons. Her attendant, Mrs. Olympia MAZZOCCO of McDonald [Pa], sister of the bridegroom, wore a coral suit with navy blue accessories and a corsage of white narcissi. Bruno D. PIAZZA of Noblestown [Pa] served as his brother's bestman. The bride's parents, the bridegroom's parents, and Mrs. Arthur PREVOST of R.D. 1, McDonald [Pa], also witnessed the ceremony. Mrs. Alfred HUBBARD played Lohengrin's wedding march.

The bride's mother wore a light blue dress with black accessories and a corsage of carnations and snapdragons. The bridegroom's mother wore a navy blue dress with a corsage of gladioli.

Following the ceremony, a reception for nine guests was held in the PREVOST home.
Mrs. PIAZZA, a 1942 graduate of the Hickory high school, was employed in the Federal building, Pittsburgh  [Pa]. Mr. PIAZZA, a graduate of the North Fayette high school [sic], is employed as a truck driver and farmer. The young couple reside in Noblestown [Pa].
