PHILLIPS - QUEVI
Miss Rachel Lucy QUEVI, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry QUEVI of Laurel Hill, and John T. PHILLIPS, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward PHILLIPS of Johnson street, were united in marriage at 2 p.m. September 17 in the parsonage of the First Presbyterian church, McDonald, the Rev. J. H. RODGERS officiating. Miss Leona PHILLIPS, sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor. Henry QUEVI, JR., brother of the bride, was bestman. The bride wore a turquoise suit with brown accessories and a corsage of white pom-pons
[sic], while her attendant wore a gray suit with a corsage of yellow pom-pons*
[sic].
A reception was held at 6:30 in the V.F.W hall with 180 guests in attendance. 14 guests were seated at the bride's table which was centered with the wedding cake and cut flowers.
Both the bride and bridegroom attended McDonald high school. Mr. PHILLIPS is part owner
of the McDonald Music Co. The young couple will make their home in Main street, Laurel Hill.

PHILLIPS - TILBROOK
Miss Lauretta TILBROOK, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford TILBROOK of East Lincoln avenue, McDonald, and John PHILLIPS, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry PHILLIPS, of Heidelberg, were united in marriage at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 1947, in the Methodist church, McDonald. The Rev. Charles F. TAME performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white crepe dress with white accessories and a corsage of red roses. The maid of honor, Miss Dorothy PHILLIPS, sister of the bridegroom, wore a pink dress with white accessories and a corsage of pink roses. Miss Betty GARDNER of McDonald, the bridesmaid, wore white with blue accessories and a corsage of pink roses. James TILBROOK, brother of the bride, served as bestman and Samuel GREENWALT of Heidelberg was the usher.
The bride's mother wore a teal dress with black accessories and a corsage of red and pink roses. The bridegroom's mother wore a 2-piece navy dress with blue accessories and a corsage of red and pink roses. Witnessing the exchange of vows were the members of the immediate families.
In the evening a reception for 50 guests was held in the home of the bride's aunt, Mrs. August LEOPOLD, R. D. 1, Bulger, with ten seated at the bride's table. A three-tiered wedding cake centered the bridal table.
The bride is a 1941 graduate of McDonald High school.
They will reside for the present with the bride's parents.

Miss Elizabeth H. KLEIN, daughter of Mrs. Walter NOONING of the Steubenville
pike [sic], and Mr. Kenneth PHILLIPS of New Kensington [Pa], son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Phillips of
Imperial [Pa], were united in marriage Friday evening, February 14, 1941, in the home of the bride, by the Rev. Clarence E. DAVISON, pastor of the Valley Presbyterian church,

The bride's grandmother died on Thursday evening, so the wedding was a quiet one with only the immediate families present.
