PANGERSIS - STURGEON
Miss Miriam Jean STURGEON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul STURGEON, of Nobletown road and John
PANGERSIS, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. John PANGERSIS, SR., of McKee road, Oakdale, were united in marriage at 11:30 a.m.
Thursday, November 27, 1947, in the manse of the First United Presbyterian church,
Oakdale. The pastor, the Rev. W. V. Ritchie, performed the single ring ceremony.
The bride wore a gray suit with black accessories and carried a bouquet of white
pompons. Miss Doris Mae BROWETT of McDonald was the maid of honor and she wore a brown suit with blue accessories. She carried yellow pompons. William
DANIELS of McDonald served as bestman.
Following the ceremony a wedding dinner for the immediate family and close friends of the couple was served in the home of the bride's parents. Eleven guests
were seated at the bridal table.
Upon their return from a brief honeymoon the young couple will be at home in
McDonald. Both Mr. and Mrs. PANGERSIS are graduates of the North Fayette
high school. Mrs. PANGERSIS is employed at the Murphy 5 & 10 and Mr.
PANGERSIS is employed by a local coal company.

PANKIEWICZ - MASLO
Miss Margaret MASLO, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony MASLO of R.D. 3,
McDonald [Pa], and Mr. Peter PANKIEWICZ, son of Mr. and Mrs. George PANKIEWICZ of
Canonsburg [Pa], were united in marriage at 8 o'clock Wednesday morning, April 16, 1941, in the Catholic church,
Cecil [Pa], by the Rev. Fr. Aloysius JEZEWSKI.
The bride wore a white satin gown with a long veil and a chain and cross. Her flowers were lilies. The maid of honor, Miss Armania MASLO of R.D. 3,
McDonald [Pa], wore a pink gown and pearls and carried roses. The bridesmaids were Miss Olga MASLO and Miss Mary MASLO, who wore yellow gowns, Miss Sophia KOZILKOWSKI, who wore a blue gown, and Miss Agnes ZUPANCIC, who wore a green gown. They all had short veils. Mr. Anthony DELIERE of Cecil
[Pa] served as bestman and the ushers were Mr. Alex RASKOWSKI, Mr. Joseph ADUMSKI, Mr. Anthony DETOURE, and Mr. August TERPIN. Miss Mary QUINN of Cecil
[Pa] played the wedding music.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the MASLO home. There were about 100 guests with twelve seated at the bride's
tables [sic].
Mrs. PANKIEWICZ is a graduate of Cecil [Pa] high school [sic].

Wed at Double Ceremony
The marriage of Miss MARGARET J. CARR, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. W. CARR of Carnegie, and W. LEON
CHEESEBROUGH, was solemnized Wednesday, August 19th [1925] in the United Presbyterian Church of Carnegie by the Rev. Dr.
J. M. McQUILKIN. Miss MARY W. TANNER was the bride's only attendant and WALLACE CHEESEBROUGH was his
brother's best man.
Immediately following, the marriage of Miss MARY W. TANNER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. TANNER of
Carnegie, and CLARKE G. PARKER, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. C. PARKER, of Pittsburgh, took place. Mrs. CHEESEBROUGH
was the bride's attendant and THOMAS B. GILES of Greensburg was best man. Only the immediate families attended.
Mr. and Mrs. CHEESEBROUGH will make their home in Oakdale and Mr. and Mrs. PARKER will reside in Pittsburgh.
