SHIREY - OPENBROWER Wedding

Miss Betty Marie SHIREY, daughter of Mrs. Lillian SHIREY of Spring street, McDonald, and Melvin OPENBROWER, son
of Mrs. Rose Openbrower, were united in marriage at 10:30 o'clock Friday morning, February 21, 1947 in the home of the
bride. The Rev. F. L. THOMAS performed the single ring ceremony.
The bride wore a powder blue suit with navy blue accessories and a corsage of white rosebuds. Mrs. Dorothy KISH was her sister's
bridesmaid and she wore an aqua dress and a corsage of yellow rosebuds. William POSKIN of Oakdale served as bestman.
The ceremony was followed by a reception for the immediate families. A two-tiered wedding cake topped with a miniature bridal
couple formed the table centerpiece.
The bride was a former employee of the G. C. Murphy Co., McDonald.
The bridegroom is employed by the Standard Oil Co., Pittsburgh. The couple will reside in the home of the bridegroom.

OPENBROWER - SCHILLER
Miss Mary M. SCHILLER of North Braddock and Pvt. Oliver A. OPENBROWER , stationed
at Camp Bowie, Texas, son of Mrs. Rose OPENBROWER of North Braddock, formerly
of McDonald, were united in marriage Thursday, April 13, 1944, in East Pittsburgh
by the Rev. Joseph A. CLOUGHERTY.
The attendants were Pvt. Melvin OPENBROWER, stationed at the Deshon General hospital,
Butler, brother of the bridegroom. William PRIESTY of the Navy, and Miss Ronnie
MYERS of North Braddock.
A farewell party was held that evening in the home of the bride's parents.
The young couple left Sunday evening for Texas.

On Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock Rev. Father J.A. BURGOON celebrated high nuptial mass and united in marriage Miss Mary
GRIBBIN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. GRIBBIN of Laurel Hill, and Mr. Thomas O'ROURKE of Carnegie. The couple were tendered a reception at the home of the bride's parents in the evening, the guests uniting in showering congratulations, rice and other accessories of lucky nature upon the happy pair. They expect to make their future residence in Carnegie.

TIDBALL - ORR

The marriage of Miss Ruth TIDBALL, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James E. TIDBALL of Campbell's Run Road, Carnegie and R. W. ORR, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. O. ORR of Academy street, Carnegie, took place at noon Wednesday, August 2, 1922. Rev. C. HILDERBRAND of the Union church officiated. Following a wedding breakfast Mr. and Mrs. ORR left for a tour of the Great Lakes. Mr. ORR served with the 51st Artillery, A. E. F. in France.
