The marriage of Miss Ruth DAUDET, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William DAUDET of Midway, 
and William Glenn MUMPER, also of Midway, was solemnized at 5:30 o'clock Friday evening,
October 25, 1940, in the manse of the Center United Presbyterian church, with the pastor,
The Rev. Alfred HUBBARD officiating.

The bride wore a dress of soldier blue velvet with wine accessories. Her corsage was of
pink rosebuds and white pompoms. The bride was attended by Miss Frances FERGUSON, who wore a dress of rose earth crepe with black accessories. She wore a corsage of pompoms and pink roses. Howard DAUDET, brother of the bride, served as bestman.

A reception and dinner at the Horstman and Davis diningroom on the Steubenville pike
followed the ceremony. Covers were laid for ten at the bride's table at which the decorations were bronze and white chrysanthemums. Mr. and Mrs. MUMPER left for a trip to Cleveland and other points and upon their return will reside in Midway.

Thursday evening, June 11th at 5:30 o'clock in the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert YOUNG of Fifth street the marriage of Miss Besse E. YOUNG and Mr. Robert J. MUNCE, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. MUNCE, Sr., of Washington, Pa., was solemnized before an  embankment of palms and ferns. The Rev. W.D. IRONS, D.D. pastor of the First United Presbyterian church officiated, the ring ceremony being used. 

The bride who was unattended, was gowned in ivory satin, heavily embroidered in pearls and rhinestones and wore a bandeaux around her hair. Miss Mary YOUNG, sister of the bride, played Lohengrin's wedding march. A wedding dinner and reception supplemented the ceremony with only the immediate families and a few intimate friends being present. Covers were laid for ten at the bride's table. 

Later Mr. and Mrs. MUNCE left by machine for Ann Arbor, Mich. where they are registered in the University of Michigan for the coming year. Mrs. MUNCE is a graduate of Indiana State Normal School and attended the University of Chicago and for the past three years has been a teacher in the McDonald High School. Mr. MUNCE is a graduate of the Washington and Jefferson College and the University of Chicago.

Miss Elizabeth POSSONI, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis POSSONI of Tyre, and Mr. Dominick MURDACA of Bridgeville were united in marriage at nine o'clock Thursday morning, October 27, 1938, in St. Columbkille's church, Imperial. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white lace over satin with a fingertip veil caught with rhinestones. She carried a bouquet of pink and white roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Rose BUNA of Pittsburgh, wore rust lace over satin with rust ribbon and shoulder length veil to match. Mr. Joseph MURDACA was his brother's bestman. After the ceremony a dinner was served to 60 guests in the bride's home. A dance followed in Sauers hall. The young couple left for a three-weeks' honeymoon tour to New York, Niagara Falls, Canada, and Detroit.
