MEYERS - KRESS

Miss Dorothy KRESS of Crafton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike KRESS of Sturgeon, and John MEYERS of Glendale, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank MEYERS, were united in marriage at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 1943, in St. Ignatius church, Glendale.

The bride wore a white marquisette gown with a tulle veil of pearl daisies. She carried a silver piece from Alaska and a bouquet of roses. The maid of honor, Miss Florence MEYERS, sister of the bridegroom, wore a pink marquisette gown and carried yellow tea roses. The bridesmaids were Miss Ann TOMASSO of Carnegie, who wore a yellow marquisette gown and carried pink tea roses, and Miss Stella LAND of Oakdale, who wore an aqua blue marquisette gown and carried talisman roses. They each wore two-strand pearls,
the gift of the bride. Walter TOFALSKI of Glendale served as bestman and Henry ANDIASICK of Glendale was the usher.

Following the ceremony, a reception for over 300 guests was held at the Falcon hall, Glendale.

The young couple will reside in Crafton.

Miss Esther RICHARDS, daughter of E. RICHARDS of Beechview, and Steven MEYERS, brother of Mrs. Ben BOYNES of Liberty street were united in marriage on Wednesday evening, May 12, 1926, in the home of the bride. Rev. Mr. JONES, pastor of the Fourth Presbyterian church, officiated. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white taffeta and carried a shower bouquet of bride?s roses and sweet peas. Miss Martha MEYERS, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid, and she wore a gown of yellow canton crepe and carried a shower bouquet of sweet peas. Glenn MEYERS was his brother?s best man.  A reception and dinner followed the ceremony, twenty-five guests being present. The house and table were tastefully decorated with roses and sweet peas. A large wedding cake was the centerpiece. Mr. and Mrs. MEYERS will reside in Beechview.

MICHAEL - CORWIN

Miss Lillian CORWIN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver CORWIN of Johns avenue, McDonald, and Mr. Raymond MICHAEL of Aliquippa were united in marriage at seven o'clock Thursday evening, October 6, 1939, in the Robinson's Run parsonage, the pastor, the Rev. Ross T. CAMPBELL, D. D., officiating. The bride wore russet crepe with brown accessories and a corsage of gardenias. The bridesmaid, Miss Blanche CORWIN, sister of the bride, wore russet crepe with black accessories and a corsage of gardenias, Mr. Samuel Fester of Aliquippa served as bestman.

A reception followed in the CORWIN home. There were twenty-seven guests. A large wedding cake formed the table centerpiece. The young couple are residing in their newly furnished home in Aliquippa, where Mr. MICHAEL is employed
in the Jones & McLaughlin steel mill. The young couple received a large assortment of gifts. The guest list included: Miss Helen [MICHAEL] and Miss Mildred MICHAEL, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel FESTER, Bryce KIRK, George ALEXANDER, and Mr. and Mrs. Jack CORWIN and son Jackie [CORWIN], all of Aliquippa, Nick SCHUST of Coraopolis, Mrs. Charles GRAHAM and daughters Dorothy [GRAHAM] and Bernice [GRAHAM] of Midland, Miss Janet WYKE of Candor, Miss Mae ROMMES of Bulger, Mrs. J. L. McHAFFIE and daughters Miss Carolyn [McHAFFIE] and Miss Mary [CROCKER] and Miss Margaret CROCKER, all of McDonald.
