On Wednesday of last week Mr. Samuel Oliver MENDENHALL of Hays station and Miss Nettie Miller HAFT of Houston were united in marriage at the latter place. Mr. MENDENHALL was employed by the coal company here several years ago and has a host of friends among the younger set.

Before an altar of lighted candelabra and diahlia Miss Audrey June MANSON, sister of Mr. and Mrs. Richard MANSON of Imperial, and Kenneth Lee MENKE, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. J. MENKE of Bridgeville, were united in marriage at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 1947, in the Bethany Presbyterian church, Bridgeville. Rev. James G. POTTER performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, Charles LIEBERT of McDonald, wore a champagne colored satin brocade street-length dress with burgandy accessories and a shoulder corsage of pink pom-poms and white rosebuds.

The matron of honor, Marie Hicks MANSON, sister of the bride, wore a dawn blue dress with silver and black accessories and a corsage of yellow pom-poms.

Louis MENKE, brother of the bridegroom, served as bestman and James LOGAN of New Kensington and Elmer ZEIGLER of McDonald served as ushers.

Mrs. Charles LIEBERT, aunt of the bride, wore a black print dress. For her son's wedding Mrs. MENKE wore a navy blue print dress. They each wore a corsage of red rosebuds and pink pom-poms.

Alma WEISE of Bridgeville presented twenty minutes of nuptial music preceding the ceremony. 

A reception was held immediately following the ceremony in the church social room for approximately seventy-five guests. A three-tiered wedding cake topped with a minature [sic=miniature] bride and groom served as the table centerpiece.

The bride is a graduate of McDonald high school and is an employee of Koppers Co., Inc., Pittsburgh. The bridegroom, also a graduate of McDonald high school, served two years in the Army Air corps, and is now attending Robert Morris Business School in Pittsburgh. 

Following the reception the couple left for a honeymoon in New York City and upon their return will reside in Bridgeville.

Miss Dorothy YOHO, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. I. YOHO of Sarah street, McDonald, and Louis MENKE, son of Mr. and Mrs. Barney MENKE of R. D. 2, McDonald, were united in marriage at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 1939, in the Robinson's Run parsonage, McDonald, the pastor, the Rev. Ross T. CAMPBELL, D. D., officiating.

The bride wore a dress of blue crepe with matching accessories. Her parents, her sisters Doris and Ruth, and Mr. and Mrs. James YOHO of Lisbon, Ohio, witnessed the ceremony.

A reception followed in the Yoho home.  Mr. and Mrs. MENKE are residing in McDonald.

The marriage of Miss Laura OPENBRIER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. OPENBRIER of Primrose, R. D. 4, McDonald, and Louis MERCIER, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jules MERCIER, also of Primrose, was solemnized at the Center United Presbyterian manse at Midway at 4 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 1938. The exchange of vows was heard by the Rev. Alfred HUBBARD, pastor of the Midway U. P. church. The bride wore russet crepe with accessories of brown. Her corsage was of talisman roses. She was attended by Mrs. David FERRIS of Ambridge, who wore luggage tan with black accessories, with corsage of pink roses. Emile OPENBRIER served as bestman. A wedding supper was served to the immediate relatives in the bride's home. Mr. and Mrs. MERCIER will reside in Primrose.
